Havergal's Senior Strings Class Plays for Canada's Veterans

On Monday, January 20, Havergal's Senior Strings Class performed for Canada's Veterans at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Sunnybrook is a key part of Havergal's community, and the largest Veterans facility in Canada, caring for 500 Veterans from the Second World War and the Korean War. The Veterans and Sunnybrook staff really appreciated an exceptional performance, while our musicians had fun as they played for the courageous men and women who served our country.

Havergal student Sarah Alexis Gritis helped to organize this event, after she played for the Veterans earlier in January. "It was fun and an honour to play for our Veterans,” says Sarah of her experience. “It's also important to take care of the people that served our country so we can live in freedom and peace."

The Sunnybrook staff would like to thank Mr. McCulloch and Sarah Alexis Gritis for organizing these events and look forward to other Havergal performances in the future.
