Réfléchir sur la beauté de la création de Dieu et apprendre à la respecter et la protéger. Tel fut l’objectif de la présente activité supervisée par Sr Nisrine dans le cadre de l’enseignement religieux dans les classes du primaire:
“The first chapter in the religious education class this year 2015-2016 was about the “Creation” (Genesis 1, 1 – 2, 3): how God created the world and how we should protect this world, as Pope Francis told us in his last Encyclical letter entitled “Laudato Si (“Praise be to you”), on care for our common home”.
Students in the primary classes drew the seven days of the creation, reflected on the beauty of the creation of God, and discussed ways to protect our common house: keeping it clean, respecting nature, and respecting every human being and every living thing.
After a deep reflection and discussion, students were encouraged to share with their parents what they have learned in class and take a photo or selfie during this family gathering around the word of God.
It was a great opportunity to share the first chapter of the Bible in family and to share the pope’s encyclical as well.”
