“The story of Terry Fox greatly fits into our theme of “Gratitude and Gratuitousness” as it is a story of hope, helping others, and invoking change through encouraging others to donate with the only hope to find a cure for cancer. Throughout the week, the students have been exposed to the story of Terry Fox during English classes. Following that, on Sunday September 18th, they were able to put their knowledge in action and participate at Anniversary Park- Carleton University in the Annual Terry Fox Run. A special thank you goes out to the parents’ committee as they were able to get our school involved in this event.

Merci, Madame Mireille Kalil, pour votre commentaire ci-dessus et pour avoir sensibilisé les élèves à la cause « Terry Fox Run » tout au long de la semaine passée pendant vos cours d’anglais ! J’apprécie aussi votre participation à cet important événement en compagnie de Sr Nisrine, du comité des parents et d’autres parents. Cette participation, avec la présentation offerte en classe, aurait grandement encouragé nos élèves, non seulement à collecter des fonds pour la recherche du cancer, mais aussi à transmettre directement le message d’espoir, de courage et de solidarité de Terry Fox et à garder vivant son rêve à trouver un remède contre le cancer.
