Claren Academy is a unique Vancouver school, focused on preparing its students for the future as it will be when they graduate from the 12th grade around the year 2030. Claren Academy was born when the founders Kathryn and Ryan Clark compared the education that their children were receiving to the skills that will actually be needed in the workforce of the future. Today's kindergarten students will graduate in an increasingly computerized and automated world. Claren Academy teaches a uniquely enriched version of the B.C. curriculum to provide strong fundamentals, while also exposing students to forward-looking areas of study such as computer programming, game development, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, and more.
Superior student to teacher ratios, cutting edge technology, and an emphasis on entrepreneurship and creativity will give our students the tools they need to respond to the challenges that await them in the future.
Claren Academy is offering 30 spaces for children entering kindergarten to grade two in September 2017. (Only children born in 2010, 2011, and 2012 will be eligible for this school year.) The school will add one grade each subsequent year, up to grade twelve.
Application steps:
Interviews and student observations will begin in December 2016 and will continue on a rolling basis. Placement decisions will be announced within two weeks of your interview and observation. Successful applicants will then be asked for a deposit to secure enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year.
Claren Academy meets the needs of students today while building their skills for success in the future. Only 30 spaces are available for 2017. Contact them today to ensure you don't miss out.
