(5) Overall Experience

My experience with Ontario eSecondary School was incredible. The course material was well organized and my teacher was quick to reply to any questions I may have had. Throughout each course, CHV2O and GLC2O, my favorite aspect was the various creative assignments I was able to do. This allowed me to fully understand the concepts being taught in a more engaging way, which is often overlooked in online learning. The depth and detail of these courses have allowed me to develop useful skills which I will take into my everyday life. Overall, I could not speak more highly about my experience with this school. When enrolling in Ontario eSecondary School, expect to be welcomed by helpful and intelligent teachers who wish to see you excel.

(5) School Leadership

The school leadership at Ontario eSecondary School was very attentive. Shortly after enrolling in my courses, CHV2O and GLC2O, I received a welcoming email from the admin filled with all the information I needed to get started with the school, including contact information for my teacher. Similarly, my teacher reached out to me with specific information about the course, which was very helpful. Everyone I ever emailed with a question was very responsive and provided straightforward answers. Everyone is extremely kind and treats others with the utmost respect, instilling confidence in students.

(4.5) Teaching

The teaching at Ontario eSecondary School was very well organized. Course content is carefully structured and lessons/concepts are thoroughly explained. This allowed me to make connections between different pieces of information and better understand how everything fit together. In addition, my teacher's insight and feedback on assignments made it easier for me to identify areas where I needed more practice or support. Furthermore, the clear and well-organized teaching allowed me to stay motivated in my work, and as a result, I was able to approach my work more meaningfully in my everyday life. Overall, the in-depth and well-organized approach to teaching along with my teacher's dedication. I deeply enjoyed the concepts I was learning and this ultimately led to further personal and academic growth.

(4.5) Academics

Because Ontario eSecondary School is an online institution there weren't many opportunities to socialize with other students, except for discussion forums. That being said the Academics at Ontario eSecondary School were very good and I have taken that learning into almost every course I have done after. There were concepts in each course that challenged me however there was always support when I didn't understand something. One thing I enjoyed, in particular, was the assignments in each course, they were very original and processed real-life qualities which has now made me able to translate my learning into my day-to-day. Furthermore, in discussions my teacher did a very good job of deepening my learning, forcing me to look at why I was learning these concepts and how to make the most of them.

(5) School Life

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ontario eSecondary School. When I enrolled we were all in quarantine and working on these courses did improve my quality of life. I was able to further my academics in a welcoming and supportive environment because the lesson content was evenly distributed throughout the course. This allowed me to stay engaged in the lessons and not feel burnt out and stressed. In addition, there were very often many times per unit when I convened with my teacher to discuss progress in the course and to present assignments. This allowed me to better my performance throughout the courses and made me feel more confident in the work that I was producing. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience.

(5) Admissions

The application process was very easy, the Ontario eSecondary School website is very easy to navigate and had great information on all courses I was interested in. Each course had an in-depth course outline that allowed you to see how the course would run. Similarly, Moodle, the software used within the courses is also very easy to navigate and use. After selecting the course I wished to enroll in all that was needed was payment and an email to send admissions information, that email came within 1-2 days. Once that was complete the rest of the process: setting up my account, navigating intro course material, and connecting with my teacher was all very straightforward. Overall, the application process was very stream-line and stress-free allowing me to start the course work as soon as possible with a thorough understanding of what was expected.
