(5) Student Experience

Ontario E School provided a robust online educational experience for my daughter. She felt the in-person classes did not provide the smaller teacher/student ratio and adequate feedback and motivation that she required. I enrolled her in Ontario e-schools, and as a parent, I saw my daughter blossom from a student that was hesitant about trying new concepts in math to a student who became more confident and proficient. She enjoyed learning and when she sought feedback from her online teacher, she was always provided with guidance and support. We are immensely grateful that a school like this exists in the virtual world. They have every course imaginable and incredible teachers to teach the course and a course content that provides students with accessible materials and activities that enhances their learning.

(5) School Leadership

There is so much that stands out to us in terms of the school. As an e-school platform there were no incidents that required judicious disciplinary action. But, in terms of leadership from the administration and their ability to respond to parents, they did a great a job. They fostered a positive learning environment through phone calls, and emails. They made my daughter feel like she had the same support virtually, as she would in an in person classroom. That made a world of difference for us.

(5) Teaching

The teaching at Ontario e-schools and the instruction was fantastic. The teachers are certified teachers and some have post-graduate degrees. They know the course content and teach from a student-centered focus. The quality of instruction is on par if not greater that in-classroom teaching. Ontario e-Secondary School was an amazing experience for my daughter. From the onset of registering to receiving her report card, the entire experience was positive and supportive. The online platform makes you feel like you are part of a family and people genuinely care about your academic success. It is evident that the teachers love to teach and want to see students understand and grasp the concepts. They allow students to learn at their own pace, while motivating them and keeping them on track.

(5) Academics

My daughter would not have received the sort of support she received in a classroom that she received with Ontario e-Secondary School. She always felt that the teacher rushed through lessons and didn't take the time to really allow students to understand the math concepts when she was in a classroom. The decision to enrol in Ontario e-Secondary School was the best decision we made for my daughter. When she took the math course, she was able to complete the work at her own pace. As a student athlete who had long practices, away games and tournaments out of province and out of the country, this provided for a flexible alternative for her to complete assignments and hand them in around her schedule. She could do the work on a long bus ride to Ottawa and email her teacher and study late nights when she had the time. She never felt pressured, only supported. Her GPA went up due to her final grade and she is able to take the next step and accept offers to Universities on a full scholarships. If it wasn't for Ontario e-Secondary Schools she would not be fulfilling her academic goals.

(5) School Life

The overall quality of student life at Ontario e-Secondary school was what was expected considering it was a virtual classroom. My daughter's confidence level went up and she felt like she could achieve high marks in the class because she was able to concentrate on her work without distractions. Her teacher was great. She thoroughly enjoyed going to school here. She was inspired every day to complete the work and knew that her teachers and principal was in her corner every step of the way. The academic environment that they created makes students feel that they belong to a family and everyone knows their name and supports their academic goals. My daugther really loved the experience and we have recommended it to everyone we know.

(5) Admissions

The advice that I would give someone planning on going through the admissions process is that you should definitely do it. There is nothing to it. They make it so easy. Everything you need to know is on the website and someone is available to help you through the process. Once you have made the decision to enroll, everything falls into place. The admissions process was very easy, fast and uncomplicated. Everything is done with ease and everyone is extremely kind and supportive. They send emails and keep you up to date if something needs to be communicated. They return calls, emails and assist parents and students in any way that is needed. There was absolutely no stress or anything that made the process onerous.
