(5) Student Experience

I’m so glad I chose OES High School for my Grade 12 studies and academic upgrading on my journey toward nursing. From the very beginning, the experience has exceeded my expectations. Their Fast Track option was a game-changer, allowing me to move at a pace that worked best for my goals without sacrificing quality. The school sets a high standard for accountability, which kept me on track and motivated throughout my courses. The teachers are truly amazing, not only knowledgeable but also supportive, understanding, and always willing to go the extra mile. I especially appreciated the accommodations they offered and their genuine willingness to work with me whenever I needed guidance or flexibility. Another huge bonus is the 24/7 tutoring support. Having access to help anytime gave me confidence and made a real difference in my success. Overall, OES High School provided me with the tools, encouragement, and flexibility I needed to succeed. I couldn’t be happier with my choice, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade or complete their high school credits.

The Best Part

As a student at OES High School, the best part is the balance of flexibility and support. I love that I can work at my own pace and even take advantage of the Fast Track option, but I’m never on my own. The teachers are amazing, always approachable, understanding, and willing to help, and the 24/7 tutoring gives me confidence that I’ll never get stuck and help that goes a long way! What I look forward to most is knowing that every course I finish gets me closer to my goals. OES makes upgrading and completing credits feel achievable and motivating. The accountability they built in keeps me on track, while the accommodations and support make me feel valued as a student. Overall, it’s an environment where I can succeed and feel supported every step of the way.

Suggested Improvements

One thing I wish were different about OES High School is that I sometimes wish there were more interactive or live group sessions. While the online format and 24/7 tutoring are amazing, having occasional real-time classes or group discussions could make the learning experience feel even more connected and collaborative. That said, this is a small improvement in an otherwise excellent program. OES already does an amazing job of keeping students supported, accountable, and on track, so this would just be a bonus for students who thrive with more live interaction.

Hidden Details

What surprised me most about OES was how supported I felt, even though it’s an online school. I didn’t expect the teachers to be so involved and responsive, and the 24/7 tutoring really does make a huge difference. Plus, the Fast Track option is even more efficient than I imagined; it gave me so much control over my timeline.

(5) School Leadership

The headmaster, guidance counsellors, and teachers all genuinely care about students’ success and create an environment where you feel supported and motivated. They do a great job at providing guidance, keeping students accountable, and making themselves available when you need help. The teachers, in particular, are approachable, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you understand the material.

(5) Teaching

I think the teachers at OES High School strike a great balance; they challenge you enough to push you forward, but never overwhelm you. The expectations are always clear, and I feel like I know exactly what I need to do to succeed in each course. When teachers talk about success, I think they imagine it as more than just finishing assignments—they want students to truly understand the material, build confidence, and develop the skills they’ll need for the next step, whether that’s university, college, or a career like nursing. To me, “success” at OES means being prepared, capable, and supported every step of the way.

(5) Academics

The work at OES High School feels just right, challenging enough to keep me engaged, but not so difficult that it’s overwhelming. Every course pushes me to think critically and stay organized, which has really helped me build strong study habits. I definitely think what I’m learning will be useful later in life, especially as I prepare for nursing school. The courses aren’t just about passing; they give me the knowledge, skills, and confidence I’ll need in my future studies and career.

(5) School Life

Even though it’s an online school, the experience feels very organized and student-focused. When you start, you’re immediately introduced to the student portal, which is the hub for all your courses, assignments, and resources. Here, you can access your Fast Track options, track your progress, and communicate with teachers. The teachers are always just a message away, and one of the biggest perks is the 24/7 tutoring, so you can get help any time, day or night. The school also offers guidance counsellors who help you plan your courses, stay on track, and work toward your future goals, whether that’s university, college, or a career like nursing. You’ll notice that accountability and support are built into everything. From progress check-ins to flexible accommodations, the school makes sure you’re challenged but never left behind. While it’s online, there’s a real sense of connection thanks to the teacher support, feedback, and community feel. Overall, a “tour” of OES is less about walking the halls and more about exploring the tools, resources, and support systems that make your learning experience smooth, flexible, and successful.

(5) Admissions

The admissions process at OES High School was really simple and stress-free. I just applied online, submitted my transcripts, and they reviewed everything quickly. I got started right away, and while a guidance counsellor was available if I wanted extra support, I didn’t need to schedule one unless I chose to. My advice for anyone applying is to have your transcripts ready and be honest about your goals. The process is smooth, and the school makes it easy to get started on your courses right away. What I didn’t know at first was how much flexibility and support would be available once I was enrolled. It’s been amazing having access to teachers for certain instances and resources like tutoring anytime I need them.
