(5) Overall Experience
Leadership, time management, and professionalism. These are some of the skills that SJSH has taught and will continue to teach future generations of students. I spent six years at SJSH, and during that time, I developed exceptional leadership skills. I have used these skills to thrive as one of the Presidents of the Brock Business School (Goodman School of Business). SJSH also follows a format similar to that of a university, so the transition from high school to university was much easier because I was already in rhythm with that structure. SJSH will teach you how to dress professionally, as well as how to act professionally, giving you skills that are very important to learn at a young age. I enjoyed the years I spent at SJSH. The atmosphere is very welcoming and is packed with school spirit. Overall, I enjoyed my time at SJSH. From the students to the faculty, everyone is very friendly and encourages one another to learn and excel.
Looking Back
One of the most vivid memories I have at SJSH is the first-ever track and field event. As a student who really enjoyed being active and participating in sports, I wanted to make a positive impact on the school. With the support of the school, I was able to plan and execute the first-ever track and field event at SJSH, and from then on, the school continued to host track and field for years to come. My fondest memory is when I ran for president at SJSH. Although I fell short, I distinctly remember that during my speech, the entire school began chanting my name. At that moment, I realized how supportive the school community was, and it really made a difference, giving me the confidence to go into the real world and excel.
Current Perspective
The school is very open about what they are trying to teach you. They do not hide the reason why they give you homework, and they do not hide the reason for having uniforms. As stated numerous times, the school is very welcoming and encouraging. Ask why. Ask the questions that come to mind, because the school will give you the answers. They want to help every student, and they are very open about that.
Your Advice
My advice is simple: try new things. The school is so supportive and encouraging, allowing you to try new experiences with so many students and teachers there to encourage and support you. It's the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and really test yourself.
(4.5) School Leadership
The leadership was very well respected at the school. Students showed proper respect and professionalism. There was good communication at all times, and there were never really any miscommunications. They were very clear in what they were trying to communicate. There was also good communication with parents, keeping them informed about what was happening at the school. Overall, the leadership was very good, and they were fair when it came to discipline.
(5) Teaching
There was respect among students and teachers. The teachers understood how to work with the students really well, offering lots of different styles of teaching. The smaller class sizes allowed for this as well. Overall, there were never any issues with the teaching. The teachers were very understanding, and they also found opportunities to learn from the students as well.
(5) Academics
(4) Extracurriculars
During my time at SJSH, there were not many extracurricular activities. However, during my last year at the school, they began to incorporate track and field, as well as many teacher-versus-student games. Since then, they have added many sports teams and have improved a lot over the last few years.

(4) School Location
The school is not too far from places to get food; however, walking can sometimes take a bit of time, and the school is close to Fairview Mall. During high school, when you are allowed to leave the property for lunch, there are plenty of places to go. Being right beside Huron Park is nice as well. There are lots of options around the school.
(5) Admissions
(5) University placement and counselling
The process is very easy. You meet with Mrs. McKee, and she walks you through the process, from signing up and logging in to viewing the programs you would like to apply for. She shows you how to navigate the application process, and even after you are accepted, if you need help transferring programs, she will still help you with that, too. Overall, it is very easy and not stressful at all.
