(5) Student Experience
My child's experience at YMS has been extremely positive. His growth from Day 1 to present has been remarkable. I feel that the thing our child likes and appreciates most is the sense of community, recognition and association with his peer groups that YMS fosters and encourages.
(5) School Leadership
The school leadership and administration is exceptional. They are a group that firmly believes in the Montessori principles and concepts on every level of all of the students experience at school. They include parents in decisions about the school, programs and activities and actively solicit feedback in these regards. They recognize that the school teachers and the parents are ONE team; a team that is supporting each child's development. In this way, YMS, both staff and parents are like a family.
(5) Teaching
Teachers and Assistants at YMS are caring, knowledgeable and passionate about each child's education and growth. The way they lay foundations with methods and activities creates a proactive path that will promote a child's success is first rate.
(5) Academics
The academic program is a very successful one that tailored to a child's individual needs. It is incremental in that each step and mastery of a subject or activity leads in to success and mastery of the next.
(4.5) Extracurriculars
YMS has many extracurricular activities and more than adequate arrangements and in a good variety of activities. ,
(5) Students
The student body is more like a big family at YMS. A family that encourages tolerance and peace among the students.
(5) School Life
The quality of student life is very good. This is evident in the excitement and eagerness our child feels about going to school every day.
(5) Community
The overall sense of community and sharing the YMS "bond" with other parents is something we as parents are proud to be a part of with the other parents.
(5) School Location
The school is more like a sanctuary than an island. A place that is typically away from other distractions.
