Four private school expos to be held nationwide this year

Four private school expos will be held nationwide this fall 2010 with a projected total of more than 130 exhibiting schools. Last year, Our Kids held private school fairs in Oakville, Toronto and Vancouver and is excited to add Montreal to this year’s circuit.

While many in the industry have cut back in recent months due to economic uncertainty, “we are very happy to have been able to maintain and even extend our reach,” says Andrew Stawicki, of Our Kids Media. The Fall 2009 events were the highest attended yet, proving that no matter what the economic situation, a child’s education remains a priority and necessity for families.

Show attendance and national statistics show that there is an ever-increasing interest in private schools. Issues such as class sizes, educational standards and bullying seem to get more attention all the time. For example, a Fraser Institute report released in June 2008 shows once again that parents—even those of low income—were much more satisfied having sent their kids to private school.

In addition to speaking with school representatives, students and other parents, families can attend free information sessions with education experts.
