The King’s program was designed to meet the needs of students who are, academically, at the very top of their peer group. It’s challenging, though it also doesn’t shirk from some of the basics that get short shrift elsewhere, such as mental math, grammar, and vocabulary. Explicit attention is also given to higher order skills and attributes, such as interpersonal relations, communication, self-reflection, confidence, and leadership. The intention is to graduate students who aren’t simply primed to succeed at university, but to excel there, blazing a trail through to a satisfying and fulfilled professional life.
