London International Academy was founded in 2002 with an explicit attention to preparing students for success at university in North America. In the years since the student population has grown considerably, as has the school’s mandate. Today annual enrollment is 350 students who arrive from around the world. The school has developed a full palette of services with the international student in mind, including language instruction, university guidance, cultural exchange programs and a challenging curriculum. LIA’s initiative on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) includes an integrated, interdisciplinary series of programs that provides students the opportunity to explore advanced technology fields at the high-school level.
