(4.5) Student Experience

My daughter has a very good time at Canada Nord Academy. What she likes most is that she can choose her own study time. She does a lot of sports training every week, so this school is great for her. She can do her homework in the evening or on weekends when she is not busy. The school platform is very easy to use, and she learned it quickly. She also likes that she can study at her own speed without feeling rushed. Sometimes she misses seeing her friends in a real class, but the online meetings are still very fun for her. Overall, this school lets her do her sports and study at the same time, and we are all very happy with it.

Why Canada Nord Academy?

The local private school had a rigid schedule that clashed with my daughter's training. The other online provider was cheaper, but when I asked about teacher support, the answers were vague; they couldn't tell me how often teachers check in with students or what happens when someone falls behind. Canada Nord Academy gave me a clear answer: students get regular task reminders, and staff communicate about learning difficulties.

Expectations vs. Reality

I expected the flexibility, and that part was exactly as promised. My daughter can arrange her study time around training, which was the main reason we chose Canada Nord Academy. If my daughter misses a deadline or struggles with something, I get a message within a day or two. That was beyond what I expected.

Your Advice

If I could give just one piece of advice to a new parent considering Canada Nord Academy, it would be this: make sure your child is ready to manage their own time, or be prepared to help them build that skill early on. The freedom and flexibility of this school are amazing, especially for kids with big commitments like sports or arts. What's more, talk to the school early, ask questions about how the platform tracks assignments, and set up a good daily study routine right from the start to ensure their success.

(5) School Leadership

The school staff is very good and organized. They do a great job keeping everything running smoothly so students can focus on learning. They are super realistic about the workload and don't make fake promises. The first two weeks had a lot of info to read, but after we learned how to use everything, it was super easy.

(5) Teaching

The teachers are the best part of Canada Nord Academy for us; they are very active and helpful. They check how students are doing and grade work quickly.

(4.5) Academics

The classes are very good but not super easy. My daughter has several classes and a lot of homework. Most of the grade comes from everyday work, so she has to try hard every week. She cannot just study at the very end for a big test. It was hard work, but her writing is much better now.

(5) Extracurriculars

Because we chose online learning, the schedule flexibility is amazing. My daughter has enough time to do her high-level sports training every week, along with her other activities outside of school. Having control over her own time and being able to balance schoolwork with her training and hobbies is really great for us.

(5) Students

This school is great for kids who can plan their own day. My daughter is good at staying organized, so it works for her. The staff sends easy reminders for homework, and teachers check in often.

(5) School Life

We chose online learning, but there is still a good study routine. The staff tells my daughter what to do, step by step. It is very structured, just online instead of in a physical room.

(4.5) Community

The community is different from a physical school, but that's not a bad thing for our family, that actually worked better than a big, busy campus for my daughter.

(5) School Location

It is an online study; my daughter can study anywhere. My daughter did her work from home, at training camps, or hotel rooms when traveling for games.

(5) Admissions

The admissions process was very clear and simple. We sent her school transcripts, and the staff quickly replied with a helpful evaluation showing how many courses and which subjects she should take.
