At Guide & Grow STEM Academy, we have intentionally moved away from a one-size-fits-all approach to early learning. We prioritize hands-on discovery, STEM thinking, digital literacy, creativity and problem-solving while continuing to protect the essentials of childhood: play, relationships, movement and social development.
The tradeoff is intentional: children may do fewer repetitive activities, but they have more opportunities to question, experiment, create, solve and think independently.

Our History
Guide & Grow STEM Academy grew from the experience and foundation of Guide & Grow Daycare Centre and years of working closely with young children and families.
A key turning point came from recognizing that children are growing up in an increasingly technology-driven world, creating an opportunity to introduce STEM, digital literacy, problem-solving and innovation from the early years.
This led to the creation of Guide & Grow STEM Academy—a program that combines strong early childhood education with future-focused STEM learning.

Our program is designed for children who are curious, eager to explore, ask questions, experiment and discover how things work. Children do not need to already have an interest in STEM, our goal is to nurture that curiosity from the earliest years.

One aspect of Guide & Grow STEM Academy that can be underappreciated is how intentionally our STEM approach is connected to early childhood development.
Families may notice the technology, STEM activities and innovative environment first. What can be less visible is the thought behind them: every experience is designed to develop foundational skills such as curiosity, communication, persistence, critical thinking, problem-solving and confidence.
The technology itself is not the goal. The thinking it encourages is.
Our educators also play a significant role in this process. The value of having early childhood expertise combined with STEM-focused learning is not always immediately visible, but it is central to creating experiences that are both developmentally appropriate and future-focused.

Over the next five years, Guide & Grow STEM Academy will continue to grow as a leading future-focused early learning environment, while staying grounded in strong early childhood development.
We envision expanding our STEM curriculum, digital literacy, technology learning and hands-on engineering experiences, with new opportunities for children to explore, create and solve problems.
As the Academy grows, we plan to strengthen our STEM Blueprint for Every Stage, expand our learning environments and continue developing a team that brings together early childhood expertise and STEM knowledge.
