The school has a fine, fairly central location. I haven't given this very much thought. There could probably be a way to become more involved in the communities around, but this isn't a high priority for me. The school seems to have enough parking and it is easy to get in and out of. The buses seem to work well in terms of getting the students to school effeciently.
I would suggest that the school is a bit of an island. They do participate in the Terry Fox Walk and walk through the neighbourhood for this. I believe in the past, they had a relationship with the Bridge Prison Ministry Program at the Ontario Correctional Institute across the street from the school. They are beginning to get involved with this again by having the children make bookmarks for this program.
