(4.5) Student Experience
My daughters enjoy the friendly, welcoming, and supportive environment at the school, from the staff to the students. They appreciate being part of a community where they feel comfortable, encouraged, and respected. One of the aspects they value most is the accessibility and support of the teachers, who are always available to provide guidance and help whenever needed. The small class sizes are also a major advantage, as they allow students to stay focused, actively participate in class discussions, and receive closer follow-up and individualized attention from teachers. In addition to academics, my daughters have greatly enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities, particularly the music club, where they had the opportunity to learn and play different musical instruments while developing creativity and teamwork skills. My daughter in high school also benefited from participating in programs such as TMUN and HOSA, which provided valuable learning and networking opportunities. Through HOSA, she strengthened and reviewed her scientific background in pharmacy and had the opportunity to challenge and test her knowledge in healthcare-related topics. TMUN allowed her to participate in different committees, engage in meaningful discussions on global issues, and develop her public speaking, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. The MYP program was also highly engaging and inspiring for her. It encouraged creativity, inquiry, and independent thinking, which motivated her to launch her own digital platform, PharmaFacts4Teen, an initiative aimed at sharing pharmaceutical and health-related information with teenagers in an accessible and educational way
Why Lynn-Rose School?
I chose Lynn-Rose because it is an IB school and part of the ISP (International Schools Partnership) network. ISP has schools in several countries, which gives students the opportunity to transfer to another ISP school if their parents relocate or move internationally.
Expectations vs. Reality
The school met my expectations in terms of student engagement through projects, follow-up, and personalized attention. The small and supportive environment helps students stay involved and supported academically. However, the school is more limited in terms of sports activities and clubs. In addition, the IB Diploma Program is not yet available for the final two years of high school, although the school is planning to launch the IB Diploma starting in 2027.
Your Advice
Lynn-Rose is a good school for parents who are interested in having their children follow the IB program up to Grade 10 while benefiting from an international school environment. Although the IB Diploma Program is not currently available for the final two years of high school, the school offers the AP program, which is also a good option for students planning to attend American or Canadian universities. The AP program provides strong academic preparation, and all Lynn Rose students are admitted to their first-choice universities, such as the University of Toronto, McMaster, Waterloo, etc.

(3.5) Academics
The academic program at Lynn-Rose School is good. Since we relocated from International College in the Middle East, whose program was rigorous & intensive, we found that the curriculum in Lynn Rose was more relaxed but still challenging enough.

(4) Admissions
The admission process was simple, smooth, and well-organized, and the staff were very welcoming and supportive throughout the experience. As parents relocating to Canada, it would also be helpful to receive more guidance regarding the different academic programs and course pathways, as well as how they align with international curricula. This would help families better understand the appropriate academic placement for their children and ensure students are enrolled at a level that matches their capabilities and previous educational background, without the risk of being placed below their potential.
