(4.5) Student Experience
It is very evident how much my child has learned and developed his skills in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture, as well as his social skills. We are extremely happy with the results of the work carried out by the school. As a teacher myself, I can confidently say that Manor Montessori is highly committed to and knowledgeable about Montessori pedagogy and methodology. Choosing this school was one of the best decisions we could have made, and we are truly grateful for the positive outcomes of that choice. There are, of course, experiences that could be disappointing for kids, such as having a disagreement with a friend or with one of their teachers, but all of these situations were always managed with great communication and openness to our kids' and our satisfaction.
Why Manor Montessori School?
We started at Manor for daycare. In our area, Manor seemed to us to be the only one that had a well-structured and serious curriculum in the Montessori space.
Expectations vs. Reality
Manor was everything we thought and more, having all the materials and appropriate spaces for Montessori education plus teachers that were extremely experienced in the Montessori philosophy and a few add-ons such as a great reading program that our kids really enjoyed being able to be read simple books by the end of JK, but most importantly, loving it. I would have liked to get a more frequent look into the daily life skills that my kid was mastering at school, to make sure he was able to put into practice at home.
Your Advice
I would advise all families to accompany their kids by digging into the Montessori way of life, keep constant communication with the school to know what your kids are enjoying, so you can also maintain the same habits and practice opportunities at home.
