(5) Student Experience
My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Manor. He specifically loves his teachers, who have a big effort to get to know him as an individual and his likes and dislikes. He appreciates the small class sizes as he knows each student in his toddler class. He also enjoys the mix of outdoor activities and indoor class time. The indoor class time seems to be a mix of circle time, singing, individual activity time and crafts. This model overall has given my son a great balance of experience, allowing him to move his body, develop relationships with his peers and also improve his language and tactile skills. As a parent, I appreciate that Manor is flexible in their structure, allowing my son half day as he still has long naps in the afternoon.
Why Manor Montessori School?
Choosing Manor was an easy choice for me and my family. Having attended Manor myself from Casa to grade 4, I knew the school would be a great fit for my son. The small class sizes, Montessori learning, attentive teachers and staff made the choice easy. As a child, I remember feeling safe, known and supported in my learning at Manor, which is exactly why we chose to send my son.
Expectations vs. Reality
In many ways, the school has surpassed my expectations. Being that I am an alumna, I had an idea of how the experience may be for my son. It has been encouraging to see how much Manor has evolved over the years, adding an additional campus, adding a toddler program, and new teachers, to name a few. Manor has specifically surpassed my expectations in the way that they have supported my son’s potty training journey, have flexible drop-off times, and have made a massive effort to really get to know my son as an individual. Seeing how Manor has evolved over the years has given me full confidence in my choice to send my son there.
Your Advice
Manor is very much a family. The teachers, principal, and administrators make an effort to get to know each child as an individual. I think this aspect alone would make any parent want to send their child to Manor!
