April is Earth Month at GAA. We will have events and challenges to encourage students to think green. As part of Earth Month, we are participating in the Me to We Campaign "We take Change" in order to track our enviornmental contributions and celebrations. We are thrilled to support the Me to We chairty in addition to doing great things for our environment!
Earth Month challenges include:
Friday April 1 is sweater day. Wear your favourite, most colourful, and quirkiest sweater to school while we turn down the thermostat to raise awareness of climate change.
Week of April 4-8 is literless lunch week. Challenge yourself to pack a lunch and snacks free of packaging.
Monday April 4 th - Friday April 29th during opening, Green Team members will be showcasing their independent upcycled projects.
Friday April 15th is the Green Team’s field trip to the Venture’s Ecohouse.
Friday April 22nd is Earth Day. Students to wear as much green as possible. Prize for the student wearing the most amount of green items.
Week of April 25th - April 29th our community recycled art projects will be displayed in the lower level hallway.
