Our annual Science Fair & Open House is back on Wednesday, February 11 with creative projects from our middle school students. Primary kids often enjoy this family-friendly event because it is an opportunity to look at science ideas that other kids have found interesting and developed as a project. The science program at Island Pacific school is highly experiential, student-driven and project-based. Projects will be presented by students in Grades 6 through Grade 9.
A teacher panel at 6:00 pm opens the evening. Teachers will talk about what they do at IPS and how learning outcomes are achieved. This short presentation is followed by an open house format from 6:15 – 7:45 to explore the various displays and the IPS campus. Light refreshments are served. Please join us!
Getting to IPS: Take the 5:30 departure of the Bowen Island Ferry from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal just north of West Vancouver. The IPS bus will meet the ferry at 5:45 and return you to the dock in time for the 8:00 sailing. More more info: [email protected]
