Forest Hill Montessori School is set to celebrate the school’s 20th Anniversary by hosting an elegant cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception at Artscape Wychwood Barns on Thursday, November 3rd.
Twenty years ago, Sandra Bosnar-Dale and Isabelle Kunicki took a leap of faith. In September 1996, the two Toronto born and raised residents opened the doors to Forest Hill Montessori School, with a small class of 8 children in a church basement located on Wembley Road in Toronto. Over the years the school has grown and evolved, eventually outgrowing the original location. Forest Hill Montessori School now houses close to 160 students at two campuses in North Toronto.
“We have had the absolute honour of educating, caring for and getting to know so many children and so many wonderful families over the past twenty years. We are excited to celebrate with everyone who has been a part of our journey over the past two decades,” says Isabelle Carter, Co-Founder and Director.
Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased through the Forest Hill Montessori School website. For each ticket sold, FHMS will plant a tree through the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation.
The FHMS Parents’ Association will also be holding a silent auction with proceeds going towards classroom enrichment.
Established in 1996, Forest Hill Montessori School is a C.C.M.A. accredited school which offers an authentic and progressive Montessori education in a warm and vibrant learning environment where children can explore, discover and develop as intelligent, confident and compassionate individuals. The school’s positive and friendly environment truly feels like an extended family.
