GAA Santa Run
On Saturday November 26th, GAA students and their families gathered in downtown Burlington to participate in the annual 5k Santa Run! Students sported full Santa costumes, with beards included! The first GAA runner to finish in record time was Brenden Lyons in Grade 4 – way to go! Students and their families enjoyed the festive atmosphere, as participants ran with jingle bells, elf accessories and other Christmas gear! This run is an annual event that occurs in Burlington every year in order to kick start the Holiday Season. Lots of community members and sponsors take place in his hallmark event! Thanks to those who came out to support runners in this seasonal event!
Legally Blonde Field Trip
On Wednesday November 30th, the Grade 6 class attended the production of Legally Blonde at the Meadowvale Performing Arts Centre. Three grade 6 students participated in this play production: Carina Stranges, Naila Mahmood and Jessica LeBlanc. Classmates watched and cheered them on! GAA was happy to support the artistic efforts of its students at this dramatic event!
Movember
Throughout the last two weeks of November, students participated in a Movember Photobooth to raise awareness about men’s health issues. We raised over $50 to support Movember Canada and their important causes. Students has their Movember photos emailed to their parents to show their celebration and commitment of these important issues. Thanks to all for your support!
