SSAF U 12 Ball Hockey: April 25th
The U12 Ball Hockey team participated actively in the series of U12 ball hockey games. They lost against one of the strongest teams at the event. Great effort by all!
SSAF U10 Ball Hockey: April 26th
Ball hockey participants worked hard to tie their games, and had great fun participating and goal tending. Well done!
SSAF U 14 Ball Hockey: April 27th
Students worked hard at this SSAF event, but lost the third division game against a very strong team. The GAA team proved to be the third best team at the tournament! Well done!
Green Team Picnic: April 26th
On Wednesday April 26th, Green Team members enjoyed a picnic at Lampman Park in recognition of their efforts and initiatives during Earth Month. Our Earth Month here at school concludes with the Literless Lunch Challenge Week – great job to all classes for participating!
Me to We Outreach Speaker: April 27th
On Thursday April 27th, GAA hosted a Me to We outreach speaker in a full school assembly. Mark, an activist, world traveler, and Me to We outreach coordinator, spoke to students about the global impacts of their Me to We campaigns. He spoke about other examples of student change makers and leaders, and the importance of contributing to positivity and activism in our local and global communities. Thanks to Mark for an informative and energizing discussion!
Kids 4 Kids Leadership Camp: April 27th
Today concluded the final session of our Kids 4 Kids leadership camp, with a pizza party for all to enjoy! Scott worked with students to develop their leadership and conflict resolution skills, teaching them what they need to know about being a role model in their school community and beyond. Congratulations to all participants involved!
Jump Rope for Heart Kick Off Assembly
On Friday April 28th, students participated in a full school Jump Rope for Heart Kick off assembly! Our Jump Rope coordinator demonstrated the exciting prizes that students can earn through their fundraising. The GAA Skip Team also presented their routines to the school, as part of this exciting kick off event!
