Ensuring their learning has a purpose, this month's Showcase will provide an opportunity for students to entertain, enlighten and demonstrate their depth of understanding of the importance of being "Green".
While the popular Muppet song extols “It’s not easy being Green”, our students would beg to differ!
The younger division of the school will perform a short musical skit, while the Grade 1/2 students discuss the impact of leachate on their environment and reveal their tips on best recycling practices.
The Grade 3/4 class created a large 3D artistic interpretation of the rainforest and through AR (Augmented Reality) they will provide news reports on the environmental destruction of the rainforest.
The 5/6 students will communicate in their science fiction interpretation on respecting the needs of living things, with a specific focus on zoos.
Through Google Maker Camp and in class studies, the 7/8's have designed, invented and solved everyday problems with their creative thinking and collaboration – perhaps Dragon's Den will be their next stop!
Join us on July 31st from 1pm-3pm and see how year-round, project based learning is more than just school!
