Just Launched this March.2022, a free Podcast created by Carrey Education. Every week, our editors look for news articles from various media platforms, topics include but not limited to Science, Politics, Culture and so on. Selected articles will be sent to make recordings by our teacher volunteers (Thanks Volunteers!), and new episode releases every Tuesday.
This is a good addition to fiction/non-fiction readings required in curriculum expectations. Reading news articles also promote student's critical thinking skills, they have chances to learn what other people think about this same issue.
Especially for students in senior grades, they need to express sophisticated ideas in their essays. And when it comes to college applications, they have more advantages than students who struggle a lot on the admission essay writing. For younger students, we tend to pick more fun topics. They are able to find their interests in academic subject field, building up characteristics in the early stage.
