This is a call to all high school students in Vaughan! Rutherford Private School, in partnership with the YDSB, is providing young adults the opportunity to further challenge themselves and make money while doing it. That’s right! RPS is offering our elite STEAM based program to local high school students across York Region. If you are someone who loves technology, engineering, programming, sciences and math, then look no further. Rutherford invites you to take our 6-week intensive in-class training course. We will train you in the language of science through theory, practical engineering using an inquiry based approach, and a foundational base in presenting your knowledge in front of your peers. This ambitious opportunity allows us here at RPS to train and then place students in a paid co-op scenario as an afterschool extra-curricular employment, working in other neighbouring schools, teaching STEAM based courses! Not only will you receive a credit on your transcript, we are going to pay you to teach our program to others. The RPS STEAM Co-op is ministry approved and will certainly provide you with a stellar reference when selecting your post secondary education. We aim to transform your knowledge into real time experience.
