A big ‘Congratulations’ to Marvin, Leen, Deanna & Alex, all in Grade 8, who recently received a “Statement of Accomplishment” for their successful completion of the online course "Introduction qux droits de l'homme" or “Introduction to Human Rights”.
This course was conducted entirely in French following the curriculum of the University of Geneva via Coursera and the students performed exceptionally well! During a two month period, students studied a variety of resources, charters and limitations of the laws that protect international human rights. They also examined the primary mechanisms at the national and international level which serve to protect international human rights. This course will help educate and motivate the students to pursue further ideas and plans of action in defense of human rights on behalf of The Westside School.
