(5) Overall Experience

I found it to be very easy to use. The platform explained everything well and in detail. The teacher was very good and attentive toward the class, and it was a good experience overall. I would definitely recommend that people use this service. When it came to studying, there were lots of resources available for me to use as well, and being able to go back to the lessons was a very helpful tool for me to progress in this class. What I liked about this was the practice test, because it really prepared me for the real test. I feel like the school accurately prepared me for my next steps. For a new student looking to join Ontario Virtual School, I would definitely recommend it, given that they are very easy to communicate with and use, and the website is extremely easy to navigate and, quite frankly, learn the material on.

(5) School Leadership

I found that Ontario Virtual School gave me a great attitude in the sense that I was doing school virtually, taking initiative, and showing leadership. The administration and teachers were very helpful and respectful. They respected my time and concerns, and any issues I had were answered quickly and in an orderly fashion, fostering a positive environment. When it came to communication, they did a great job communicating my tasks, as well as providing the information I needed to move forward in the course.

(5) Teaching

When it came to the teaching aspect, I had zero concerns with my teacher. She was amazing and handled everything in a very organized and professional manner. She responded quickly to emails and returned my tests as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher. I had an extremely good experience with her—she was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful whenever I needed support. I could always rely on her quick and clear responses. Overall, I would say the teachers at Ontario Virtual School are excellent. They know what they’re doing, they are professional in their roles, and they truly help students succeed in the subjects they’re pursuing.

(5) Academics

When it came to the academic aspect of this program, I found it to be the right amount of challenging. I was able to do very well in the course, but I had to put in the work. Success came from taking the time to understand the material and use the available resources. The format of the course was especially helpful—everything was well organized, and there were plenty of resources provided along with the lessons. I appreciated being able to go back and review lessons and complete practice tests, which really supported my learning. This was especially helpful for fully understanding calculus and learning it to the best of my ability. Overall, I would definitely recommend this course to someone who struggles to retain information from in-person classes, because the ability to revisit lessons makes a big difference.

(5) School Life

Overall, my experience at Ontario Virtual School was great—I really enjoyed it. One important thing I learned was how motivating it can be to work on my own schedule. Being able to choose when to complete tasks helped me stay focused and finish things efficiently, while also allowing me to prioritize other responsibilities when needed. This flexibility was one of the best features of the program, as it allowed me to manage my workload in an organized way. I also gained knowledge and skills that I believe will help me in my post-secondary studies. In terms of difficulty, the coursework was similar to my home school, but I found it more accommodating. Studying and practicing was easier thanks to the wide range of resources available. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for a flexible and supportive private school option.

(5) Admissions

I would definitely recommend this program to anyone applying for university admissions in Ontario. Ontario Virtual School is very experienced with this process and knows how to handle it professionally. They submitted my final mark early, which allowed me to include it in my university applications in Canada. As a result, I was accepted into every program I applied to. Being able to work toward a high mark on my own schedule made a huge difference. I highly recommend this program to anyone planning to apply to university within the next couple of years.

(5) University placement and counselling

This allowed me to receive my midterm marks early, which helped me get into the program I wanted—Queen’s Commerce. I was able to complete my test on my own time and submit my midterm mark early, which was a huge advantage in the admissions process. Overall, I would give Ontario Virtual School a great review because it truly benefited me in a positive way. I would definitely recommend OVS to anyone applying to university. It’s a professional, well-organized program, and they really know what they’re doing. When it came to submitting my marks to OUAC, the process was easy and handled very professionally.
