I had a great experience completing MHF4U with Ontario Virtual School and finished the course with a 96% mark. I really liked the video format of the lessons because they made the material easy to understand and allowed me to learn at my own pace. The course was well organized, and I found the combination of lessons, practice work, and assignments very helpful. The support available through OVS was also a big benefit. Having access to 1:1 live tutoring was especially helpful when I needed extra clarification on more difficult math topics. I also appreciated the quick response from my teacher when I had questions or needed feedback. Overall, OVS gave me the flexibility to complete the course on my own schedule while still having access to the support I needed. I would definitely recommend OVS to other students looking for a flexible and supportive online learning experience.
Looking Back
What stood out most to me was the flexibility and the support provided by OVS. I could work through the lessons at my own pace, while still having access to 1:1 tutoring whenever I needed help. The lessons were also clear and easy to follow, which made learning the material much easier.
Current Perspective
Looking back, I see OVS as a very flexible and supportive school. At the time, I mainly appreciated being able to work at my own pace, but now I recognize how valuable that flexibility is, especially when balancing school with other commitments. I also appreciate the access to tutoring and teacher support more now. Overall, I see the flexibility, organization, and academic support as some of OVS’s biggest strengths.
Your Advice
My advice would be to take advantage of the flexibility OVS gives you, but also stay organized and keep yourself on schedule. I wish I had known how important it is to manage your time well when learning independently. The support is there if you need it, so don’t hesitate to ask questions or use the tutoring services. If you’re motivated and able to stay on top of your work, OVS can be a great option.
