(5) Student Experience

It was a great experience at Ontario Virtual School. I loved the way of teaching and the study space. IIf there’s anything that could be improved, it would be to have more social activities like discussions and debates, which would make studying more fun. The coaching was fantastic and there is no need for any changes. Overall, my experience was really good. My teacher was supportive, and I learned how to be well-organized and study in an open space, which made me more resourceful and responsible. In the beginning, it was a bit challenging to organize myself and learn from the classes on my own, but later I got used to it and it became fun. I am really thankful to OVS and my teacher.

(5) School Leadership

I respect my teacher, and his way of teaching was awesome. The teachers were really knowledgeable and supportive. They always replied within 24–48 hours. After every exam and unit test, feedback was provided, which helped students gain a better understanding. Even with flexible study, I never felt alone because I knew my teacher was always there for me if I needed help or had any doubts. Since it was my first time studying online, it was a bit hard for me at the beginning to understand how things worked, but my teacher guided me.

(5) Teaching

I think my teacher supported me in every way he could. I got really good marks with his help. Yes, I always felt I knew what my teachers expected from me, as they provided everything I needed, like instructions and rubrics, which explained how many marks were required to pass and how each question would be marked. When teachers talked about success, they imagined us achieving good marks in the final exam. But they also wanted us to grow in every way - becoming more confident, developing good communication skills, and building leadership qualities. I think I achieved almost everything that success means, and I tried my best to improve and make my teacher proud of me. I never felt overwhelmed while studying on my own through OVS.

(5) Academics

The work wasn't easy but it was appropriate and of course, it will be useful for me later in life and for further studies. The things I learned while studying, like critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, will help me in future courses. With Ontario Virtual School, since it was online, I learned how to manage my time during online classes and developed self-discipline, which is very important in every field. It also helped me build more confidence in myself. There was no pressure to complete assignments, tests, or exams on fixed dates and times. It was up to me to decide, which made the work easier and more flexible. I would definitely recommend this method of study because students have an open mind and the freedom to learn at their own pace.

(5) School Life

If I had to give an online school tour, I would take visitors to the website and show them everything, including how to log in or create an account, where to find classes, study resources, and the online library. I would show them where they can join class meetings with teachers or participate in discussion sessions. All of this is very important for new students to gain knowledge and help them with their studies. I would also show them how to contact teachers through email from the website to clear any doubts. In addition, I would explain the test centre and exam process, what the requirements are, and how it works.

(5) Admissions

It was a bit stressful for me at the beginning to apply for admission, but later I contacted the administrative office, and their guidance really helped me. My advice is to always do good research on schools and not to stress. Always talk to a mentor for guidance, as that can really help in any field. Also, do not hesitate to ask questions, even if you think they’re not important. Always clear your doubts. I am really thankful to the OVS staff who assisted me throughout this process.
