(5) Student Experience

I loved the school. I was able to complete everything at my own pace, and the lessons were very in-depth, allowing me to teach myself and go back whenever needed for more help and information. The registration process was very quick, and I was able to start immediately. I wouldn’t change anything apart from possibly the price, as it is a lot for some, but still less compared to other private schools. I would like to formally thank OVS for making this process as smooth as possible and helping me complete my goal of finishing prior to my deadline, as well as fast-tracking my final report wherever it needed to be sent. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be continuing into my dream program in the medical field!

(5) School Leadership

My teacher was absolutely amazing. He responded quickly to my emails and went above and beyond, grading my work quickly and helping me reach my goal. The administration office also helped by fast-tracking my final report to meet a deadline and accepting my prerequisites quickly, so I was able to start right after registration. Every single person working for OVS assisted me in the best possible way, or was able to transfer me to whoever could help more in-depth. They really do care about the students.

(5) Teaching

My teacher was amazing. There was a perfect understanding and balance for everything, and every single submission that was graded also had in-depth notes explaining what you did correctly and what you did incorrectly. This helped students learn more and be able to look back at the lessons knowing the specifics that needed a refresher. I would say the teachers are able to figure out exactly what every student needs and fit it perfectly. If, for some reason, the needs aren’t being met and you need extra help, one quick email will fix it immediately, as they respond quickly and communicate about whatever is troubling you. They are fast to make the necessary changes to help you succeed the best you can.

(5) Academics

The work, I would say, is a little in between too hard and too easy, as it really depends on you and how much you’re willing to put into the course! The lessons are laid out perfectly and helped me know exactly what to do for each topic. You have about a year to complete the course, but you can complete it as quickly or as slowly as you want; it’s totally up to your own pace and what you can do. They do have a minimum number of days for registration: during the summer, it’s 21 days, and regularly it’s 30 days prior to being able to request a final report card. The course I took was Chemistry, and yes, it will be extremely useful for me later in life as I am going into the medical field, and it’s an extremely important part!

(5) School Life

I completed my schooling online, so I would not be able to give a tour of the actual campus! But some things I would show new students to help them navigate would be every single tab and the meaning behind them all. It looks slightly scary at first just because it’s not like a typical bright space layout, but once you understand exactly what to click for everything, it’s probably the easiest platform to learn on! They provide every worksheet and textbook required to help you learn and submit exactly what needs to be submitted. I would say it’s almost impossible not to get what’s needed for your work and lessons, but if that were to happen, you could easily contact the school during the weekday and it’ll be fixed immediately!

(5) Admissions

The admissions process was very quick. As soon as you submit your information and payment, you will be able to access the course immediately. It also only took 24 hours for my prerequisites to be accepted, so I could start submitting work. Everyone who explained and helped me through the process was patient and amazing. If it weren’t for this incredible school and the people who work here, I would not have been able to get accepted into my post-secondary program. They truly went above and beyond to help me!
