My overall experience with Ontario Virtual School (OVS) has been very positive and convenient. The biggest advantage of OVS is the total flexibility of learning at my own pace. The online dashboard is easy to navigate, making it simple to access lesson videos, practice materials, and test downloads whenever I am ready. The course content is straightforward, and the unit tests are fair based on what is taught in the lessons. Having the option to submit handwritten work scanned as a PDF is also very practical for math assignments. One thing I wish were slightly different is having faster response times from teachers when asking questions via message. Overall, OVS is a fantastic choice for students who need a flexible, self-paced schedule to earn Ontario high school credits.

The Best Part

The best part about studying at OVS is the complete control over my daily schedule. I really appreciate being able to watch the lesson video tutorials whenever I want, pause to take clear notes, and write tests when I feel completely prepared.

Suggested Improvements

I wish all online courses had the option for online proctored exams. Having online proctoring for math is super convenient, whereas having to travel in-person for other courses like English was much less convenient for an online school setup.

Hidden Details

Something that surprised me is how much independence you really need to stay on track. Since there are no live daily classes or fixed assignment deadlines, you have to create your own schedule to keep making steady progress.

The main thing I wish they would do more of is speeding up communication times when students send in questions about course material, but overall, the leadership team runs a solid, reliable online school program.

Overall, the academics are top-tier, exceptionally well-organized, and give dedicated students every single resource needed to achieve outstanding marks and build a strong foundation for future success.
