(5) Student Experience

I had a really great experience taking MCR3U at Ontario Virtual School. One of the things I liked most was being able to work independently and complete the course at my own pace. I could organize my schoolwork around my own schedule and spend more time on topics that I found difficult without feeling rushed. The video lessons were also helpful because I could pause them, take notes, and go back to parts I wanted to review. Another thing that really stood out was how quickly my teacher marked my work. OVS says to allow up to 48 hours for marking, but I consistently received my work back within 24 hours, and sometimes even on the same day. This made it much easier to keep progressing through the course without having to wait for marks or feedback before moving forward.

The Best Part

The best part was being able to work independently at my own pace while still getting extremely fast feedback from my teacher. It made the course flexible and easy to fit around my schedule.

Suggested Improvements

I would suggest adding more optional practice tests before unit tests. Having extra questions with full solutions would make it easier to prepare and make sure you understand everything.

Hidden Details

I was surprised by how quickly my work was marked. Even though the website says to allow up to 48 hours, my teacher always returned my work within 24 hours, sometimes the same day.
