I recently completed SPH3U-10 online with OVS, and it was truly a great experience. The website was very well organized and incredibly easy to navigate. It was also easy to keep track of my progress throughout the course. The lessons included quizzes, real-life examples, step-by-step explanations of how to solve equations, and very clear explanations of the course material, which really helped with my understanding. Before taking a course with OVS, I was worried that I would not gain the same level of understanding or receive the same support as I would in an in-person class, but that was not the case at all. Comparing my experience with friends who took the course in person, I found that we gained the same knowledge and had a similar level of support. My teacher, Mr. Chevalier, was also a very fast grader. Most of my work was graded the same day, or occasionally the next day. He was incredibly helpful whenever I needed clarification or had questions about the course material. Overall, I had a very positive experience with SPH3U-10 and would definitely recommend this course, as well as other courses through OVS!
The Best Part
The best part of my experience was being able to work at my own pace. Everything was very well structured, and the lessons were clear, organized, and easy to follow. I really liked the way the course was set up, and it made learning the material much easier.
Suggested Improvements
The only thing that could be improved is the Dropbox and Coursework sections. Having two separate areas to submit work was a little confusing at first. However, I recently found out that OVS is removing one of these sections, which should make the website even easier to navigate.
Hidden Details
A new student might be surprised by how many different resources are available throughout the course. There are textbooks, practice tests, homework with detailed corrections and explanations, and lots of videos that guide you through the material. The lessons are not just text and writing either. They also include diagrams, pictures, and examples that make the concepts easier to understand.
