I had a really positive experience taking MCR3U-08 through Ontario Virtual School. I liked being able to work through the course at my own pace and go back to lessons whenever I needed extra review. The video lessons were helpful because they explained the math step by step and made it easier to understand more difficult concepts. I also found the course materials and practice questions really useful when preparing for tests. The flexibility of the course made it much easier to manage my time and focus more on topics that I found challenging. I was also happy with the marking and feedback throughout the course, and I never felt like I was waiting too long to receive my marks. Overall, I had a great experience with OVS and ended the course with a 97%. I would recommend OVS to students who want flexibility while still having the resources and support they need to do well.
The Best Part
The best part about being an OVS student is the flexibility and being able to work at your own pace. I really liked being able to go back and rewatch lessons whenever I needed extra help. The video lessons made the course easy to follow, and I always felt like I had the resources I needed to be successful.
Suggested Improvements
One thing that could be improved is adding even more interactive practice activities throughout the lessons. I found the videos and practice questions really helpful, but having more short quizzes or interactive examples after each topic could make the lessons even more engaging and help students check their understanding as they go.
Hidden Details
Something that might surprise a new student is how much support is available even though the courses are online. You can work independently at your own pace, but you still have access to teachers, feedback, and helpful resources when you need them. I found the course much more organized and supportive than I originally expected.
