I completed MCR3U (Grade 11 Functions) with Ontario Virtual School in August and finished with a very high mark. The video lessons were clear, step-by-step, and easy to pause or rewatch whenever I needed to go over a concept again. All the course materials, including the workbook and textbook, were easy to download and use alongside the videos and practice questions. My teacher marked assignments quickly (usually within a few hours) and gave useful feedback so I could fix mistakes before moving on. The self-paced format worked well because I could fit the work around my schedule. Overall, the combination of clear lessons, easy-to-access materials, and strong support made a big difference, and I would definitely recommend OVS to other students taking math.

The Best Part

The best part was the flexibility. I could work through the lessons at my own pace and fit the course around my schedule without being locked into set class times. The clear videos and easy access to the materials made it straightforward to stay on track and actually understand the content.

Suggested Improvements

I don’t have any suggestions. The course worked well overall. The lessons were clear, the materials were easy to access, and the support from the teacher was solid.

Hidden Details

There’s no fixed schedule, so you can move quickly or fall behind depending on how you manage your time. You also get real teacher support and quick feedback rather than just videos, which was more helpful than I expected.
