Our daughter did not attend preschool or public daycare before coming to Resurrection Christian Academy. She is slow-to-warm and can find large groups overwhelming. Not only were the class sizes of RCA enticing, but their desire to get to know each child personally, has provided both our daughter and us as parents, a great deal of comfort!! Our daughter is eager to attend class, enjoying all aspects of learning even when she is frustrated as she has come to trust that her teachers and fellow classmates are available and safe. She also, even as a 6 year old, appreciates that students and teachers are to follow a Christian ethic as it has been assisting her in juxtaposing the Christian moral ethic with the world's subjective moral ethic.
It is important to have a good teacher to child ratio to make sure our kids do not fall behind. I was in the public school system myself and having 32 kids in 1 class is not correct. The only way to make things better for your children is to do your research and find somewhere that can support what you want your children to have. I do not want my kids to be lost; I want my kids to lead one day. And to lead; you must be listened to and heard. Better ratio of student to teachers is the important. Here at RCA you get this and this makes me happy that as a parent I have helped provide a better foundation of education for my children.
My sons experience has been great at R.C.A. I have had one graduate and one presently enrolled. From what I see both boys enjoyed going to school. With it being a small school it is like a family. They truly care and have encouraged my guys. My guys love hands on and getting involved. Since it is a smaller school I think they get encouraged to step out of their comfort zone to try new things. They do not get lost in a system. But encouraging teachers come alongside them to help them try something new. Like leading the announcements and chapel or singing in a play. Seeing everyone get involved is contagious and fun. No one is left out!!! As a parent this is wonderful to see!!
