Insights from students, parents, and alumni highlight that St. George's supportive community and diverse array of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs, empower students to explore interests, build confidence, foster a sense of belonging, and shape their unique identities.
The school offers so much more than just sitting at a desk and learning—it’s about the broader experience that includes clubs, activities, special outdoor education programs, teams, ... These elements create a rich and dynamic educational journey. St. George’s provides learning opportunities beyond the classroom, giving students different ways to engage with their education.
For any new family searching for a school, my advice is not to choose based on popularity or where friends are going. Instead, find the school that is the right fit for your child. Do the research and make sure the school aligns with your child’s interests and future goals. A school shapes character and offers more than academics—it provides opportunities through clubs, sports, music, and extracurricular activities that help students grow in multiple dimensions.
St. George’s encouraged a wide range of extracurricular interests, and that fostered a non-judgmental environment where students could explore their passions. Whether in science, band, theater, or athletics, there was a space for everyone to find their community. This inclusivity helped create a welcoming and dynamic school spirit. The winter hamper drive, for example, showcased this spirit by involving students, teachers, staff, alumni, and community members in a charitable initiative. This event reflected the school’s emphasis on broader community engagement and the sense of belonging that extended beyond the student body.
My advice to prospective students is to take full advantage of the resources available at St. George’s. Time passes quickly, so it is important to explore different opportunities, build relationships, and engage with faculty. Developing connections with teachers can be particularly beneficial for future academic and professional success. Additionally, students should not hesitate to take risks and push beyond their comfort zones, whether through advanced courses, extracurricular activities, or leadership roles.
I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to gain experiences in athletics, the arts, and academics. I have played competitive basketball, volleyball, and ultimate at Saints, developing unique relationships with my teammates and coaches. I've been taught by incredible band directors throughout my 7 years playing the bass clarinet in the Music Program at Saints. In my academic work, I feel supported by my teachers, and am able to genuinely connect with them inside the classroom and around the school. Whenever I need help understanding important topics in a course, or have questions for my teachers, they never hesitate to make the time to help me with whatever I need.

I love the range of activities here, especially the sports, arts, and leadership opportunities. The athletics at St. George's, with my passion for basketball, keeps me active and allows me to bond with my classmates and develop team skills. Music is another passion of mine, and playing the bass clarinet here has been such a rewarding experience, with ample support and opportunities to improve. Ultimately, I have no regrets about coming to St. George’s, as it will be a great fit for anyone seeking greater opportunities to challenge themselves and find ways to impact others as they become a balanced, well-rounded learner.

I’m actively involved in extracurriculars at St. George’s. I played on the volleyball team, was part of the band, and now I take a lot of photos for the yearbook as well as participate in the Student Ambassador Program, where we guide new parents on tours. The school offers a wide range of clubs and activities, so there’s truly something for everyone. And if you have a unique interest, St. George’s encourages you to create your own club, so no one feels limited in their options. With all these opportunities, I feel like everyone has enough to do and is able to explore their passions fully. It’s a great environment for discovering new interests and connecting with other students who share them.

St. George's does an incredible job of offering the student body opportunities to get involved in co-curricular activities. Saints offers both competitive and recreational sports, including basketball, table tennis, hockey, pickleball, and many more chances for the students to be active! Students are even able to start their own clubs at Saints: some featured clubs are the Chemistry Club, Business Club, Fishing Club, Barber Club, and more with opportunities for every student to share their interests with the community.

I take part in extracurriculars like basketball, boxercise, concert band, and Investment Club, which I enjoy. St. George's offers a good variety of clubs and sports, hoping students get out of their comfort zones. Many co-curriculars have recreational options for students to experience the sport even if they do not hope to take on the competitive versions. The range of activities helps students pursue their interests and find something they have strengths in, as the school hopes we make the most out of our time at St. George's. On the other hand, for the arts, there are also ways to get involved with the theatre performing arts and multiple music ensembles and bands to pursue if you are passionate. As well, for clubs, students often take their knowledge and experiences to teach and guide others. With their interests, they can have an impact on others, inspiring them to dive deeper into these areas which they may have never known of but find valuable for their future.

I am actively involved in the school's extracurriculars and believe that the wide variety of extracurriculars that the school offers have provided opportunities for all kinds of students to be involved in the school community.
