(5) Student Experience

My children spent most of their childhood at Trinity Montessori School. They loved the field trips especially those to Ottawa and New York City. They loved the small size class. They would share their stories with me even in the car driving home. They loved their uniform! And were very proud of wearing that. They loved their snack and lunchtimes. And especially pizza days. They loved the library hours where they could pick their own books. I remember they had a yoga class. My kids would come home and show me the tree pose! I don’t think they ever come home with any disappointments. Overall, it’s very close to a perfect experience there. I never have any doubts about this school. My kids were very well taken care of.

(5) School Leadership

The principal is very diligent in her work. She is also very hands-on. The administration would always make time for me when I needed it. All other school communication is very precise, organized and informative. I’ve never had any issues with receiving school memos or updates etc. All the staff is the utmost passionate, professional and caring. You could definitely feel the positive vibes there. Sometimes it feels like they seemed to know my kids more than I do.

(5) Teaching

The teachers there are top-notch. They are the best-qualified teachers. A lot of times, it’s not about their qualification, but their real passion for teaching and caring. They have done above and beyond the basic requirement. They care very much for each of my children based on their individual needs. I would not have known about my daughter’s artistic talent if it was not for one of the art teachers. She suggested that my daughter should have some formal drawing classes which I did. My daughter turned out very creative and artistic because of this. I am forever grateful. Feedbacks at the school are constructive. It’s for the better of the children. We could always have asked for private meetings if we have any concerns.

(5) Academics

The children are always encouraged to be their best in every aspect. They do have homework. In-class works. Quizzes, and tests, etc. And both individual and group projects. I think these are all essential for learning. The Teachers would put in extra time for each child if they need more help. I find the teachers are firm but fair. They played a major role to build a solid foundation for my children’s first few years of their learning skills and consequently set up their positive learning habits. The academic program at Trinity Montessori is very adequate for my children’s lives in high school, university and beyond. They are who they are today because of that. I could not have asked for more.

(5) Extracurriculars

I think Children are provided just the right amount of extracurricular activities. There are so many after-school programs to choose from. The children were encouraged to write creative writings including poems and short stories. They were submitted for the national competition. My son was in the chess club. They had competition frequently. Overall I think there are many choices provided. At the same time, you don’t want to overwhelm your kids.

(5) Students

The school is small in size. But has all the latest gadgets and technology to support the staff and students. I love the fact that they have uniforms. Everyone is equal and not being distracted from other things. The uniform has provided a strong sense of belonging and being proud to be wearing it. Kids grow up together in a smaller environment to allow them to learn from each other. They learned to work in a cohesive manner. Since the class sizes are smaller than in other schools, kids have the opportunity to feel very comfortable with other students. Teachers can pay more attention to each one of them. The student body is positive and strong. Kids just learned from each other and to help each other.

(5) School Life

The overall student life at Trinity Montessori School is very positive. My children loved Trinity Montessori. The principal and the staff work very well with parents like me to help set up my children for success. Trinity Montessori has played a major role in the overall achievement of my children. This is honestly the best investment, next to RESP. It is like having an extended family whom you could trust. They are very accountable in every aspect. My daughter spent 9 years there and my son 7 years. I do not recall any day that they came home sad. I know it might sound surreal. But it’s true. I am definitely one of the happiest parents. Seeing your children happy is so priceless. Thank you, Trinity!

(5) Community

As a parent, I have all the confidence at Trinity Montessori School. There are constant open communications between teachers and parents. Although there is no Parent Association as such, We are encouraged to communicate with the administration for any concerns we may have. They do honour an open door policy. Parents have always been encouraged to be a part of their volunteer programs - mostly field trips, etc. From there, one can experience the broader picture of school life. And be able to participate with the children together. On one of the field trips to Ottawa, I to be a parent volunteer. I have to admit that I have learned a lot from that trip. Overall I think they have done a fantastic job.

(5) School Location

The location is perfect for us. It’s close to where we live. There’re staff members in the morning and evening to monitor and to receive the kids at the door. They have a big backyard for daily recess. One of their field trips was to visit Buttonville Airport which is just a short walk from the school. That was a fun trip.
