(4.5) Student Experience

I have enjoyed my time at Royal Crown. I have really liked the quad semester system and the teachers have been really helpful and even offered after-school help to students who have asked. The main thing I knew about RCA was basketball because that’s the reason I came. Since I am a student-athlete I have created a good schedule to balance school and basketball and have gotten a great routine to finish the school work I need to complete and then do what I love and train for basketball. As well, I have really enjoyed core. Ultimately, I have had a positive experience with not many negatives at all but the only thing I would improve would be the breakfast having more variety of healthy foods.

(4.5) School Leadership

I have a lot of respect for the school leaders, including the headmaster, guidance counsellors, and teachers. They do a fantastic job of supporting students and providing after-school help. I appreciate their dedication to helping students succeed. The counsellors have been especially helpful they have helped me set up classes I enjoy as well as helped with any academic needs. One thing I would like more is to get to know the heads of the school more. Overall, they're doing a great job!

At Royal Crown, I've found that the teachers strike a great balance. They challenge us enough to encourage growth, yet provide the support needed for success. Clear communication ensures we understand their expectations, which fosters a productive learning environment. When they speak about success, it seems they envision a well-rounded achievement, encompassing both academic excellence and personal growth. They likely aim for us to flourish not only in the classroom but also in extracurricular pursuits, like my passion for basketball. It's evident they care about our holistic development, which is truly empowering. Overall, the teachers at RCA foster an environment that nurtures each student's potential, encouraging us to set and achieve meaningful goals. This creates a positive experience for everyone, where both students and educators play vital roles in our collective journey towards success

The workload at Royal Crown feels appropriately challenging. It pushes me to think critically and learn effectively. I believe what I'm learning will be highly useful in the future. The curriculum is well-rounded, providing a strong foundation for various paths in life, whether it's further education or entering the workforce. The balance between theory and practical application ensures I gain valuable skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly serve me well in the years ahead. This equilibrium helps strike a meaningful connection between academic learning and real-world application, making the work at RCA just right in terms of difficulty. Additionally, the coursework at RCA encourages independent thinking and problem-solving, which are essential skills for any future endeavor. The teachers also offer support and resources to tackle challenging concepts, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel. This dynamic learning environment, where the work is appropriately demanding, instills a sense of confidence and competence that will undoubtedly be valuable in my future pursuits. Overall, I'm confident that the level of difficulty in the work aligns perfectly with the goal of preparing students for success beyond their time at Royal Crown.

I'm an avid participant in various extracurriculars. I'm particularly passionate about basketball. I have had great coaches and I love the workouts and practices we have. Royal Crown has been instrumental in nurturing this passion, providing ample opportunities for skill development and competition. Additionally, I'm part of the Chess Club, which offers a different kind of mental stimulation and strategic thinking. Overall, it's safe to say that at Royal Crown, there's a diverse range of activities that cater to various interests and passions, ensuring everyone has something meaningful to engage in.

Royal Crown does feel like home to me, largely because of the profound sense of inclusion and appreciation fostered by the school community. I mostly stay on campus throughout the day, with my primary focus being on basketball. While there might be occasional off-campus events or games, my time and attention are largely centered around training and activities related to the sport. This keeps me engaged and committed to honing my skills, making it the central focus of my day at Royal Crown. There are team events or competitions that take us off campus, but these are typically related to basketball and contribute to my growth and development in the sport.

The admissions process at Royal Crown was a comprehensive yet ultimately gratifying experience. My advice for potential applicants would be to genuinely express your interests and passions, whether they lie in academics, sports, or other pursuits.
