Private School Funding and Affording Tuition

There are many ways to help you pay for private school in Banff or, more specifically, Alberta. In this province, some accredited private schools receive funding and are usually more affordable than other schools. There are also schools in the nearby areas of Lake Louise, Canmore, Cremona, Didsbury, and Parson.

At these schools, students write provincial tests and instructors teach them according to the Alberta curriculum. The province also funds Designated Special Education Private Schools at the same amounts as those given to the public system. In contrast, registered private schools, which need not teach the Alberta Programs of Study, are not funded. However, like all schools in Alberta, registered private schools' educational standards must meet provincial mandates. In short, accredited schools receive funding, while registered don't.
