Through the 6Ds Instructional Model, students discover key concepts, develop and deepen understanding, demonstrate learning, apply knowledge and reflect on progress. The new integrated LMS brings classes, resources, assessments, attendance, feedback, results, communication and progress monitoring into one structured environment. Teachers use ongoing evidence of comprehension, engagement and mastery to adjust instruction and provide targeted individual or small-group support. Assessment includes assignments, projects, presentations, discussions, demonstrations, tests and examinations, allowing students to show learning in varied and meaningful ways. E-portfolios help students document progress through written work, models, diagrams, videos and reflections while developing Ontario Learning Skills and Work Habits. Ontario courses—including MTH1W, MFM2P, MCR3U, MHF4U, MDM4U and MCV4U—develop both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding across algebra, functions, data, statistics and calculus. Lessons use examples, visual representations, discussion, digital tools and progressively challenging tasks. Assessment includes assignments, investigations, projects, quizzes and examinations. Calculator policy:
Calculators are used when appropriate to the course and learning goal. Students first develop number sense, procedural fluency and algebraic reasoning. Scientific, graphing or digital tools may support complex applications and verification, but students must show their reasoning and follow teacher instructions during assessments.

What Flexi Academy says about their gifted learner support:
Flexi Academy does not operate a separate gifted stream. Students demonstrating advanced readiness receive individualized enrichment, deeper inquiry tasks, project-based extensions, guided independent study and flexible online learning opportunities. Teachers monitor progress through the LMS and provide regular feedback to maintain an appropriate level of challenge. Enrichment preserves Ontario curriculum expectations while allowing students to explore greater depth, complexity and independence.
