We believe strongly in the education of the whole person, our teachers and courses also place emphasis on leadership and character education. In order to prepare students well for the challenges of university and life in a rapidly changing world, Lakefield's faculty engage students in academic activities which will enable them to develop disciplined habits of study, critical thinking skills, and a talent for co-operative problem-solving. Learning disabilities

Dyslexia (Language-Based Learning Disability)
This is a learning disability that can limit a child's ability to read and learn. It can have a variety of traits. A few of the main ones are impaired phonological awareness and decoding, problems with orthographic coding, and auditory short-term memory impairment.

Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)
This is a sound differentiation disorder involving problems with reading, comprehension, and language.

Dyscalculia
This is a kind of specific learning disability in math. Kids with this math disorder have problems with calculation. They may also have problems with math-related concepts such as time and money.

Dysgraphia
This is a kind of specific learning disability in writing. It involves problems with handwriting, spelling, and organizing ideas.

Language Processing Disorder
This is characterized by having extreme difficulty understanding what is heard and expressing what one wants to say. These disorders affect the area of the brain that controls language processing.

Nonverbal Learning Disorders (NLD)
These involve difficulties interpreting non-verbal cues, such as facial expressions and body language. They're usually characterized by a significant discrepancy between higher verbal skills and weaker motor, visual-spatial, and social skills.

Visual Perceptual/Visual Motor Deficit
A characteristic seen in people with learning disabilities such as Dysgraphia or Non-verbal LD. It can result in missing subtle differences in shapes or printed letters, losing place frequently, struggles with cutting, holding pencil too tightly, or poor eye/hand coordination.
Developmental

Autism
Refers to a range of conditions that involve challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, and speech and nonverbal communication. They also involve unique strengths and differences. For instance, there are persons with both low- and high-functioning autism (some claim the latter is identical to Asperger's syndrome).
Asperger's Syndrome
On the autism spectrum, Asperger's is considered quite mild in terms of symptoms. While traits can vary widely, many kids with Asperger's struggle with social skills. They also sometimes fixate on certain subjects and engage in repetitive behaviour.
Down syndrome
his is associated with impairment of cognitive ability and physical growth, and a particular set of facial characteristics.
Intellectual disability
This is a condition characterized by significant limitations in intellectual functioning (e.g., reasoning, learning, and problem solving). Intellectual disabilities are also known as general learning disabilities (and used to be referred to as a kind of mental retardation).
Williams syndrome
This is a rare genetic disorder present at birth. It is characterized by intellectual disabilities or learning problems, unique facial features, and cardiovascular problems.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is an umbrella term used to describe the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother consumed alcohol during pregnancy. These may include growth deficits, facial anomalies, and damage to the central nervous system, which can lead to cognitive, behavioural, and other problems.
Behavioral and Emotional

Troubled behaviour / troubled teens
roubled teens tend to have problems that are intense, persistent, and can lead to quite unpredictable behaviour. This can lead to behavioural and emotional issues, such as drug and alcohol abuse, criminal behaviour, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety.
Clinical Depression
This is a mental health disorder also called "major depression." It involves persistent feelings of sadness, loss, and anger. According to the Mayo Clinic, symptoms are usually severe enough to cause noticeable problems in relationships with others or in daily activities, such as school, work, or one's social life.
Clinical anxiety
This is a mood disorder involving intense, relentless feelings of distress and fear. They can also have excessive and persistent worry about everyday situations, and repeated episodes of intense anxiety or terror.
Suicidal thoughts
This involves persistent thoughts about ending one's life.
Drug and alcohol abuse
This involves the excessive use of drug and/or alcohol, which interferes with daily functioning.
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
This is a disruptive behavioural disorder which normally involves angry outbursts, often directed at people of authority. This behaviour must last continuously for six months or more and significantly interfere with daily functioning.
Physical

Multiple sclerosis
This is a condition of the central nervous system. It affects the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord. Symptoms can include fatigue, loss of motor control, memory loss, depression, and cognitive difficulties.
Cerebral palsy
his refers to a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood. CP is caused by abnormal development or damage to the parts of the brain that control movement, balance, and posture.
Muscular dystrophy
Muscular dystrophy is a neuromuscular disorder which weakens the body's muscles. Causes, symptoms, age of onset, and prognosis vary between individuals.
Spina Bifida
This is a condition present at birth due to the incomplete formation of the spine and spinal cord. It can lead to a number of physical challenges, including paralysis or weakness in the legs, bowel and bladder incontinence, hydrocephalus (too much fluid in the brain), and deformities of the spine.
Dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder)
This is a Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). Also known as "sensory integration disorder," it affects fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults. It may also affect speech.
Blindness
Visual impairment is a decreased ability or inability to see that can't be fixed in usual ways, such as with glasses. Some people are completely blind, while others have what's called "legal blindness."
Deafness
Hearing impairment, also known as "hearing loss," is a partial or total inability to hear. The degree of hearing impairment varies between people. It can range from complete hearing loss (or deafness) to partial hearing loss (meaning the ears can pick up some sounds).
Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is an inherited genetic condition, which affects the body's respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems. It affects young children and adults.

Homework Policy

I would say it is a challenging curriculum. I was probably a fairly academic kid, but definitely not top of the class in any way, and I felt challenged in really important ways when I was a student. I was encouraged to take a wide variety of classes, and nobody really let me off the hook, which I think was important. No one let me really slack. I was always kind of pushed to be on task. Just talking to my friends, my classmates who I went with, we all went to university. We all scattered around and went to different places. And regardless of what program they went into, whether it’s medicine or law, there’s this kind of fundamental preparedness that they felt Lakefield provided them. Absolutely that’s curriculum-based.

There is a lot going on, but when you do it in an environment like Lakefield and you’re supported in that way, you come out of it really capable and really feeling like whatever challenge university or a job is going to bring you. LCS academic program is the number one reason we chose the school for our son. Depending on the strengths of each student they have a program to fit. Sciences, Arts, business all aspects are available to the students. Bringing diversity to the student body, allowing students to be surrounded by others that are different from themselves with different goals but all one community. Our son took his academics to a completely different level. Our goal was for our son to go directly from grade 12 to university (instead of CEGEP for 2 years in Quebec). Due to LCS's university advisor class and the academic program our son applied with confidence to 6 universities and was accepted to 5 of those universities! He had the support of the LCS advisor staff through the entire university application process. He confidently started university without any hesitations or uncertainties.

The school offers AP classes for most topics and have a wide variety of courses for the students to select. So even though the student body is 300 approx they are still able to give many selections for their studies. My son was accepted to his first choice program at his first choice school. The academics allowed him to learn and grow in a way that also assisted in his next step of learning. It is an interesting school in that they have excellent, science and math teachers as well as a great arts program, and they don't forget the humanities either. It is a very well-rounded school in the courses they offer. They are taught at a high level and the students are ready to meet the expectations of first year university.

The academic culture at the school allows students to thrive at whichever level is best suited for them. Lakefield prides itself on being an academic learning level which is standard in high schools, with advanced placement options starting grade 11. It is always beneficial to have healthy competition between students to achieve a certain mark, which pushes them academically to be the best learner they can be. I found that the advanced placement classes that I took, specifically AP biology, best prepared me for the academically demanding environment of university. Largely due to the methods of assessment, and amount of external hours it takes to prep for the type of rigorous schedule students would be faced within their first year. The only area that I find LCS lacks in academics is the accommodations made to individuals with learning differences. The academics are rigorous. The school offers AP classes and also has a wide variety of courses for students to select. We appreciate the school’s academic resources are always ready to support students’ individual needs. LCS's academic learning environment in student groups is healthy and somehow competitive. Our son is very motivated to reach his next academic level: he has aimed for the university he wants to enrol in and interested areas he would like to explore further in the university, so he likes the academic resources the school is providing to him, and helpful inputs from his academic advisor when they start Grade 11 course selection and university selection processes. LCS provides both diversity and depth across multiple fields. The academic tracks are well designed and provide clear paths for university. We have loved the "outdoors every day" philosophy that is carried out without any negative effect on the academic level. We are also big supporters of the module approach that has been implemented in the last couple of years. Our kids have enjoyed the longer class sessions and the changes of focus during the year. We also like the way the school recognizes strong academic performance without making specific student successes overwhelming for the rest of the community. The workload seems to be intense but not overwhelming, and there is always support easily accessible if needed. LCS makes an effort to continuously innovate which is highly appreciated.

We feel that the academic program at LCS is flexible and focuses on the exploration of the potential ability of the student, for example, AP program could let some students prepare the institute lesson earlier. In the past several school years the student experienced flexible lesson modules and remote learning, which helped them to learn more according to the different conditions of each student in the pandemic period. The school provides quick and efficient action to deal with the difficulty which is based on the long-term tradition at LCS. We are very happy with the academic program of LCS, especially since they added so many different AP classes. The support and the quality of teaching are enormous. We like the fact that awards/recognitions are given to the students at the end of the year. We did realize that this was a big motivation for our son to do better. Especially since this recognition is not an “under-achiever versus over-achiever” one. It is more a way of telling the students where they are, and therefore showing them where they could be. We do believe that in a world that becomes so competitive, learning at teenage age that competition actually does exist is good. And the LCS approach is a soft way of preparing the students for the hard reality.

I felt the school excelled at providing a robust academic culture with care to help each student to be able to succeed at their very best level. We had a regular engagement with our daughter's academic advisor so that we could support the school team and provide our parenting guidance and advice whenever required. I was also highly impressed with the school's use of the online tool Edsby, which kept us apprised of the grades and activities as our daughter was engaged with them in real-time. The quality of the facilities, the staff and the results all exceeded my wife's and my expectations. It was excellent preparation for my daughter's further studies at university. In a few words, it is hard to express how the unique rural setting on a lake combined with a top-notch teaching and support staff fuse to create a truly unique and unequalled learning environment. One must experience it.

Our daughter was accepted into all the university programs she applied to during her final year at LCS. Due to that, she was able to choose her first choice program. The guidance activity was solid and timely and gave her the information and backing required to conduct her post-high school investigations thoroughly until she streamlined her thinking. The process was much more involved and better managed than my wife, and I have experienced previously, and we were thoroughly impressed. The support came from the guidance counsellors, and the don's in the boarding houses could also share their university experiences. The don in my daughter's house and my daughter's academic advisor had both graduated from my daughter's university of choice and were able to offer much practical advice.

LCS most definitely prepares students for university. They develop strong study habits and they learn to ask for help when they need it. The teachers are always ready to help. The school seems to be quite strong in most subjects; however, our daughter has struggled with French this year. We are not sure exactly why and tried to find a way for her to improve. Her class seems to have all levels of French ability which seems to make it very difficult for the teacher. I wonder if there is a need for three different levels of French classes at the 10th-grade level. Our daughter has enjoyed the fine art class as it is one of her favorite classes, but we are hopeful that there will be more opportunities in 11th grade for students who want to pursue a career in the arts. There seemed to be a great deal of writing as part of the art class, though I'm not sure that there was much art history being taught.

Outdoor learning is integrated with academic subjects.

Observations from the school community suggest that Lakefield uniquely integrates outdoor experiences into its curriculum, underscoring the importance of nature and providing a distinctive educational experience through outdoor learning.

I think it’s the outdoors that differentiates Lakefield. Having travelled to lots of schools, playing sports a lot, I’ve never seen a place that has such a brilliant campus, and with so much importance on how the outdoors is a value. It’s really not just something that we take advantage of—it’s in the spirit of what we do. We’d be in Biology class and we’d all get up and we’d go aside and we’d just stand in the forest, and then we would have our Biology lesson there, or we’d have our Math class there. It wasn’t just the Outdoor Ed classes. Nature is really incorporated into the curriculum in a lot of different ways. So, the outdoors as a value, not just as an accessory—I think Lakefield stands apart because of it.

Our focus when looking at schools was academics, and he happened to be an athletic kid. So Lakefield was a good fit, and he was able to play hockey outdoors and join a team and do all of that. So when we visited, it was initially because of hockey. That very quickly changed when we drove onto campus and saw what he was about to sort of dive into.

I have always been the kid that gets excited to learn, so when I realized the wide selection of course options available to me at LCS, I instantly knew I would be in my happy place. I came previously from an IB school where I found myself slowly losing my passion for learning, so I switched and came to Lakefield College School, where the lessons are more varied, in terms of subjects but also challenge levels. My favourite part of the academics at LCS is the engaging, hands-on activities that allow me to truly enjoy learning and immerse myself in the subject. The use of the outdoors and awesome surrounding environment in lessons makes me think past a classroom perspective and allows me to create greater connections. Our daughter was a proud student of LCS and is a proud alumnus. She realized quickly that the school was in a unique environment and had a lot to offer academically and with co-curricular activities. She felt fortunate to be at the school and thought the boarding facilities she had were excellent, and the grounds were spectacular. She particularly enjoyed running in the splendid rural setting and grabbing some quiet time by the lake. Our daughter grew up in Singapore and chose to join the Nordic Ski team in her first year. As the campus was equipped with its Nordic ski track, she could do a lot of extra skiing and thoroughly enjoy the exercise, learning the sport and becoming proficient at it during her stay at the school.

The culture around the school is really about being supportive of everyone. I would say that, for me, stands out the most. For others, it could be the physical aspects of the school—like you’ve probably seen photos of the campus and how beautiful everything is, or that we’re close to the waterfront and the fact that we have small class sizes—like those physical things that we can touch. LCS's approach to education is excellent, allowing each student the opportunity to be their best self in their studies. LCS has a very special staff right from administration, teachers to level advisors. The encouragement and guidance provided to our son allowed him to excel in subjects he'd never pushed himself in before. Weekly advisor meetings allow the students to discuss any academic issues or challenges before they become an academic problem. Struggles are addressed right away. Class sizes are smaller allowing each student the room to develop as themselves and not just a number. The teachers are extremely passionate about their subject, but more so about having each student excel in that subject. LCS does a lot of group learning, teaching each student how to have a voice and confidence within a group setting. I could not have been happier with the level of education he was provided. His discipline and study skills today are attributed to LCS.

I personally feel like I did the most growing during my time at Lakefield. I attended grades 9-12 and felt that each year came with its own challenges. In my first year and a half I was much more to myself but still stayed involved in school life and activities. If you ask the majority of the alumni population, many would say that Lakefield was the perfect fit for them. They grew the most there, found their identity, and strived to be the best version of themselves. Like any high school, it would not be surprising if there were many that did not feel this way. Due to the competitive nature of the academics, the mandatory involvement in sports and arts, those who lack organization skills or motivation to be up and moving for eight hours of the day may not get the most out of their experience and find it too challenging. Overall, Lakefield creates great leaders, people who are passionate about doing great things, and who want to help others.

My son loved going to school at LCS. He enjoyed the wide range of classes and extracurricular activities. He enjoyed the boarding experience and he gained independence and so many friends. The living away from home was a great way for my son to build independence, however, there is great support through the housing staff to help with settling in, academic support and meeting new people. They have a student body from the graduating class that all have leadership roles which also help with the younger students to become more comfortable and find their niche in the school body. My son had some issues with the specific study schedule as they had "study time" each night from 7 to 9pm. This is great to help instill the need to do homework daily, however, my son is a morning person and by 7 pm is fading in the ability to focus, work hard. So he woke early and did all his work then. Otherwise the school is very supportive of learning styles and needs.

Did our son love going to school at LCS? More than you can even imagine. His only regret is not having gone sooner. We chose LCS for their academic program but left with so much more. School life is so much broader than just academics and achieving academic goals. School life at LCS truly is like non-other. As parents we know it takes a village to raise our children. All we can do is crack the doors of opportunity for our children, it's up to them to open the door and walkthrough. LCS enhanced our son's life in so many ways. He is fiercely independent. Our son attended Lakefield College School (LCS) for Grade 9 and now he is a Grade 11 international boarding student. LCS is truly the home away from home, a caring community that allows our son to develop himself into a young man knowing and respecting people around him, making a lot of good friends, and growing himself into a more responsible community contributor and a future leader; LCS is also a continuous learning environment that is keeping push our son to challenge himself to reach next higher level and discover his potentials both on academic studies and competitive sports activities, and nurture him to find out his real interests he would like to pursue in future. Our son has had a terrific couple of years at LCS. He has been able to follow his passions (math and computing, areas in which he has traditionally excelled and the school has supported him in participating in Canadian competitions) while exploring new frontiers that have challenged him both on sports fields and academic ones. Our son's experience in LCS is beyond expectations. He started boarding during the pandemic time, when restrictions ruled life. And still, he loved it. LCS had a way of welcoming the kids that is unique, they found ways of occupying them, making events and games outside. Also, the presence and dedication of the staff at any time were amazing. Post-pandemic, we discovered the true spirit of LCS. The sports offered, the events organized, the sense of community, and just the beauty of the amazing campus make the high school experience exceptional. On the academic side, he benefits from an excellent teaching staff, who takes time to comment on all of his homework and tests, with clear, honest and precise feedback. This helped him so much to improve and become a better student. He is enjoying dedicated advisory and very personalized help from the university counsellor. They helped him choose the appropriate classes for grade 11. LCS offers so many different options and AP classes, the possibilities are endless. He loves the "board house" solution LCS is offering. since he started LCS, he shares the same house with 24 boys from 14 nationalities and he ADORES it. Our daughter came from a public high school and entered LCS in her 10th-grade year. She was not used to having an abundance of homework or nightly study time. She had not even had any exams until she came to LCS! It has been a learning curve for her, but her teachers have been incredibly supportive and helpful. They give her help when needed and give her feedback. She has struggled with French the most and sadly, will not be continuing next year. It has been very challenging for her and though she did improve quite a bit, she does not want to continue. Her strengths are writing and fine arts and she has excelled in both. She struggles with Math and still was able to do well. Her teachers have been helpful and kind which has made all the difference. We are hopeful that there will be more opportunities for her to really dive into the fine arts.

LCS is an amazing school that offers a wide range of top notch classes. The staff is phenomenal and are truly there to teach, mentor and guide their students. The outdoor education is unique and a wonderful experience for students. They have a great set of arts and sports available to all students. Not only was there regular school activities but all the students had opportunies to participate in international volunteer expeditions, or leadership programs. The school has intersession days where the students do community work, go on field trips, and do team building exercises. The range of extra curriculars is awesome and the sports are offered at different levels from beginner to highly competitive. There are many opportunities to participate in the arts, through plays, musicals, band, choirs, visual arts clubs, and photography. If the students find a need for a club or group they are encouraged to run it, providing an opportunity for leadership and having another option for the student body.

The academic culture is one based on meeting students where they are at and pushing them forward. The LCS program rests on a balance of academics, athletics, arts and community building. By valuing and actively participating, our child continues to position himself very well for a rewarding and fulfilling university and social life. The relationships between students and staff is truly like no other. Lakefield is a place where you do not only have to be great at one thing but to become good at many things. Pushing yourself to limits you may never have thought of before. The community environment and the facilities Lakefield has is what sets it apart from other schools. Being able to attend AP Biology classes 10 feet away from where you get to paddle and camp out with another class is an experience you cannot get anywhere else. The overall academics push your brain, the outdoor experience pushes your strength, the athletics push your physicality, and the arts test your creativity. These aspects create a Lakefield student that is ready to take on the world and future challenges that they may be faced with.

Our daughter has wanted to attend LCS since she was a little girl. She saw her two nieces graduate from LCS and knew that I (mom) attended and loved it. She boards at LCS which has been an adjustment for her, but she has made many good friends and felt right at home from the beginning. She always looks forward to getting back to school after a break and is not wanting the school year to end! Fortunately, she will return next year! Our daughter spent her 9th-grade year at our local high school so the academics at LCS have given her a great challenge which she has risen to! There is always someone to help her if she needs it and all of the kids want to be successful so there is an overall positive attitude towards learning. She has loved the Outdoor Education course as well as all of the extra outdoor activities at the Northcote farm, and at nearby Outdoor centers. They seem to work hard and play hard and she is tired at the end of each day! She has loved all of her seasonal sports and was able to compete in OFSAA for Nordic skiing - a real highlight! She has grown immensely both academically, athletically, and socially. In one short year, she has become independent, determined, and mature. This has been a truly well-rounded education. The staff at LCS are a cohesive, supportive, caring team. The real bonus is the campus! She has loved enjoying Lake Katchewanooka sunsets and bonfires at the waterfront. LCS offers everything you'd get at a high-quality camp, combined with a rigorous academic curriculum. We couldn't be happier with the education our daughter is receiving at Lakefield College School!

We feel the teachers in LCS are all very professional and passionate, my daughter has learned not only the academic classes but also lots of useful skills in life, and now she is very interested in cooking food. Last night we enjoy the dish she made for us. We are happy with the quality of instruction, every school year Judy could have one or two rewards such as maths/French/drawing and also she had an average score of no less than 97. They communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback. We could feel that my daughter receives both the challenges and the support that she requires, many teachers encouraged Judy to try more challenges, go outdoors close to nature and make more friends in school.

There isn’t a word to describe a teacher who has the right balance of academic knowledge, enthusiasm for learning and ability to listen and respond to the inquiry of the students. Similar to a camp counselor perhaps, LCS teachers are lifelong learners who are committed to a standard of excellence with a hands-on approach to learning. A good teacher can also recognize the ability of students to learn from each other. In the Harkness table method, students face each other for classroom discussion, welcoming all voices to the table. The diversity of thinkers and perspectives is something that has been surprising for me. I know people came from around the country and around the world, but I didn’t know how much that would contribute to interesting debates, better appreciation of difference, fun programming and world experiences, all in a little town. Furthermore, the teachers all use the same format of communication and feedback through Edsby. This online platform lets parents see in real-time the assignments, grades and feedback the students are receiving. To that, I don’t have to rely on my child to show me. The consistency makes it easy to learn and stay engaged.

Lakefield is unique because of the relationships between students and staff. Your head of house could also be your French teacher, basketball coach, and debate team leader. At this level, there is a certain amount of respect that has to be held within the different roles your teachers may play in your life at Lakefield. In the classroom environment, teachers are held to a higher standard because of the potential other relationships you have with that individual. After taking a variety of classes, both at the advanced level, academic level, and online summer programs. What I noticed is there was not a difference in the engagement teachers had in their materials between the different levels of academics I took part in. Every teacher, regardless of the subject or level, was there for their student’s success. If extra time or support was needed the teachers (without hesitation) would set aside time in their day (even if it affected their personal life) to help the student.

Whenever we have talked to our kids' teachers (we like the school so much that we have now two attending) it has been evident the deep knowledge and understanding of our kids' personalities and the genuine care all of the teachers have for them. They have made sure to challenge them and provide them with actionable feedback (e.g. they were not used to writing essays, and now they excel at it). We have also been able to follow their performance on a continuous basis, as the platform used by the school is user-friendly and up to date. Teachers and advisors have been close to support them in making the right course selection for the following academic year. Teachers´ passion has also opened our kids to new horizons that we did not expect them to be so interested in.

The teachers here at LCS are truly some of the best, not only through their knowledge but through the passion and care they give to both their lessons and students. They take the time to understand each kid to ensure the best teaching style for us, whether that be hands-on and physical, visual, auditory, or extra help hours during lunch or after school. While the teachers hold us to a high level to encourage us to thrive and achieve future success beyond high school, they also make sure to keep our personal wellbeing as a top priority too. This keeps me in the perfect "Goldilocks zone" of challenging courses and assignments, but also a level of comfort that feels just right. Since our son started LCS, we only witnessed amazing teachers. Every teacher our son got was involved, passionate, honest and very responsive to any questions or needs from our son. Also, they always respond to any meeting request from our side, and were ready to organize zoom whenever we could. What impressed us most is the quality and passion of the academic staff. Mathematics, English or outdoor education, the feedback and comment we get is extremely detailed, precise and to the point. The teachers really do know our son and the details in their comments reflect their passion. I mean, we got an entire report on our son’s skills about how he handles a paddle in canoeing, a detailed description of his mathematic thinking and a full report on how he could improve his writing skills! In addition, they do adapt to the profile of the student. In our case, they suggested that our son get support in English and that he goes to a higher grade in mathematics. In our view, this is real tailor-made education.

The teachers at LCS are most passionate and knowledgeable and take great pride in delivering a best-in-class educational experience. Our observations via our daughter and when we were directly involved was that the teachers worked hard to keep things exciting and the students engaged, fostering an intense curiosity and motivation to learn. I felt strongly that during the entire time at the school, the teachers were very involved in ensuring that our daughter could succeed at her utmost best. She was given many unique and powerful learning opportunities due to the school's strong use of the outdoor and rural settings. Parent-teacher interviews were excellent and extremely helpful to us as we helped to coach our daughter from off campus.
