Happy Diwali Festival from Acadecap!
We wish all students, parents and our AcadeCap community a Happy Diwali celebration, as we look forward to celebrating the festival of lights once again. We enjoyed learning about Diwali last year by creating beautiful artworks, and thank all the members of our AcadeCap family for creating such a successful and enjoyable festival. The word Diwali is derived from Sanskrit meaning dipavali, “row or series of lights' '. The Sanskrit word dipa or lamp, light, lantern, or candle which glows or shines can also mean knowledge or illuminates. The word ‘avali’ means a row, range, series or continuous line. The artwork we created last year with parent volunteers shows patterns of continuous lines with bright colours. Acadecap is proud of celebrating cultures from all over the world as a progressive IB world school in our Ottawa community. We celebrate the diversity of our student population with vigor everyday in the classroom be it cultural or with differentiated lessons.
