Bond’s Cross Country Team
Won the Withrow Cup
On October 1st, 2014, students from Grades 1 to 8 of Bond Academy’s Elementary school participated against six other Toronto schools in the Cross Country meet held at Withrow Park. Bond’s Cross Country team came first overall and won the Withrow Cup — for the second year in a row!
The team coaches are incredibly proud of the strength, endurance, pride, spirit and sportsmanship displayed by all team members, both on and off the course. It is worth mentioning that many of our students were competing against students older then themselves and it was truly amazing to watch our team rise to the occasion.
Bond team members exhibited exceptional running ability, in all divisions, and many students achieved their personal best times.
In total, our students won three first place medals, two second place medals and two fourth place medals, in their respective divisions. What a wonderful start to an already amazing season.
“This is a great set-up to our next and final meet at SSAF”, a Bond student said. “The Bond spirit is truly within all members of our Cross Country team. We are so proud of all of you.”
Go Bond Go!
