Cambridge International Academy’s staff and students were enthusiastic to host International students to our 2018 Winter Camp. Thompson and Michael, our Winter Camp co-coordinators created a fantastic itinerary and accompanied our guests on all the excursions. Our guests had a wonderful time to learn about our Canadian Culture, to experience our educational system, and to explore exciting and amazing tourist attractions like the CN Tower, Casa Loma, ROM, and Science Centre as well as to visit Niagara Falls and to travel on a three day Eastern Tour to Kingston, Ottawa, and Montreal.
Our home stay parents who graciously opened their doors to welcome our participants exemplify what Canadian hospitality is all about. Our host parents’ friendliness, kindness, and generosity toward our guests made it easier for them to adapt to a new home. Our young guests easily bonded with their home stay parents and had the opportunity to experience the day to day living in a Canadian family’s household.
Lin, our school director, had the vision to narrow the gap between countries and thus created the Winter and Summer Camps at Cambridge International Academy. She strongly believes that in order for future generations to live in a peaceful world, they need to attend programs that not only promote engaging and fun activities, but also expose and educate them to different cultures so that they can develop an understanding, an appreciation, tolerance and respect of other cultures.
On behalf of the staff at Cambridge International Academy, we look forward to future visits from our new friends abroad!
