Hydrostone Academy is a truly supportive school. I have been going to this school since I was four years old, and it has always been a place where I am happy and comfortable being myself and exploring a wide variety of academic disciplines. I would above all recommend the elementary school because the play-based, Waldorf-inspired teaching style is an unparalleled way to teach children how to interact with the world in a wholesome and balanced way. The middle and high schools are great places for all kinds of students because of Hydrostone Academy’s heavy emphasis on individual accommodations and personalized learning. The students at this school are accepting and connected, and the staff is invariably patient and helpful. Overall, the Hydrostone Academy offers a friendly and caring environment that is the perfect jumping-off point in a lifetime of education.
The Best Part
The best part of Hydrostone Academy is the elementary school, which strikes the ideal balance of academics and play. Hydrostone Academy helps young children learn what it is to be social and active in the classroom.
Suggested Improvements
The class sizes towards the highest grades do tend to diminish to a certain degree, so this could potentially be a drawback for someone who enjoys bigger class sizes and plans on heading into high school.
Hidden Details
The science fair and LEGO robotics programs at Hydrostone Academy are excellent. If you are planning on attending the upper school here, I would really suggest checking these out.
