At The Learning Nest Academy, we believe the early years are among the most important in a child's life. This is when children build the foundations for how they learn, think, connect and understand the world - foundations that shape everything that follows. As educators, we carry the privilege and responsibility of making the most of this window, providing the high-quality care that lets children feel safe enough to explore and the guidance that helps them develop the confidence, capability and love of learning that will carry them through life.
Our roots are in Montessori and we've built from there. We hold onto what Montessori got right - following the child, hands-on discovery, independence and extend it further to meet a world Maria Montessori never had to imagine.
What inspires me most is that we design for both the child in front of us and the world they're growing into. AI and rapid technological change are already reshaping how the next generation will learn, work and relate to one another. That's exactly why our educators think of themselves as changemakers, not caregivers who simply keep pace.
We built Nest-EQ deliberately - a framework that develops strong cognitive foundations alongside critical thinking, creativity, communication, emotional intelligence and resilience - and we hold ourselves to service standards that reflect how seriously we take this responsibility. Raising children for a world we can't fully predict demands intention, not defaults.
No two children arrive at the same place at the same time, so we meet each one on their own personal journey - noticing where they are and walking alongside them from there. That takes a community, not just a classroom. Respect, curiosity, collaboration and the drive to grow are woven into everyday moments, in how children treat one another, take on challenges and support their peers. Parents are part of that community too, not bystanders to it. We see families as strong partners in this journey and we believe you deserve to feel just as supported and known as your child does.

Highlights from the interview
Building that relationship and that trust with families from the beginning is definitely essential in what we do. But also about making them understand that we all have a big impact on the way the children learn and how they're going to eventually grow into members of our society.
To be able to showcase the impact of early education is a beautiful thing... And these are skills that these children will bring into our future communities, so it's essential.
What excited me most was just how forward-thinking this organization is and the vision for the Learning Nest Academy and what they are doing to support the children of the future.
It is about connecting with families, making them feel safe about their decision to have their children here with us, and giving them that encouragement that we're all focused on the relationship and the consistency between home and the academy. Because it is a partnership. It truly is — when they say it takes a village to raise a child, it truly does take a village. And we're part of that village for raising a child.
- Building the relationship with the educators is the number one thing that we do. We want families and children to feel like they belong. And so there is a lot of integration of what happens at home, bringing that into the centre so it creates that sense of belonging and that culture.

Any child coming into the Learning Nest Academy on a day-to-day basis is going to be met with fun experiences. It's really about an inquiry-based learning environment where children can explore the world around them.
The environments are set up very intentionally so that children can explore based on their own interests, and then educators are very mindful and observe the children very intently so that they can pick up on those interests. They can observe the skill sets that children are developing at that time, and they can help to build on and scaffold that learning.
Children's early learning is about always being curious and feeding the curiosity of not just our children but our educators as well, because we're lifelong learners as adults, as well.
Parents are looking for a type of learning environment that respects their child as an individual and knows their child on an individual level. Their child is not just a number. They're not just another child who comes day-to-day. They really are a part of our community and a part of our day.
Ultimately, our main goal is to ensure that each child can be successful. So it's not if a child can be successful; it's how can we make sure that that child is successful?
We always strive to be better than we were the day before. We have very high expectations of ourselves here at the academy because we are entrusted with these little lives, these little humans who are going to be big people in a big world.
Our culture at the Learning Nest Academy really reflects collaboration and teamwork. From senior leadership to our educators, everybody is very involved in what is happening within our academy.
Everybody is passionate about what they're doing and willing to support each other, and that really helps when we have that collaborative team aspect.
It's important to find a good fit for your family based on your needs and what you're looking for in an experience for your child… We understand that it's not just about academic growth. It's also about supporting the overall growth of a child. You're looking at the whole child's development, and that's really important.
An environment that's set up thoughtfully and intentionally for children can do so much. So take that into consideration when you're looking for your next learning environment for your child.
