Questions from parents
  • Why is there no information on private school ratings? When I clicked on your site it said "ratings" after which your site says "we shy away" from rating a particular school. Which is it? Actually I don't think its comparing apples and oranges and if I would consider spending my money on private education I would at least like to feel I made the right decision.
  • Are private and independent schools accredited?

Top benefits of International Experience

Sending your child to school in another country will help them become more independent and experience living in an entirely different culture. Additionally, international schools will help your child grow in:

Personality

  • Students often report the experience of studying abroad changed their life.
  • Lifelong international friendships are made.
  • Students gain a wider perspective of other cultures and also their own.
  • Daily challenges, through language barriers and living on their own, foster independence in students.
  • Students who study abroad develop increased self-confidence and maturity

Academics

  • Students have access to unique athletic, academic or special needs programs not offered at home, as well as first-hand experiences with important monuments or texts found on-site.
  • Students have increased interest in their field of study while abroad.
  • Experiences abroad influence future educational choices.

Career Potential

  • The global nature of today’s economy requires employees who can maneuver through different cultures and languages.
  • A study by the Committee for Economic Development found that American companies lose an estimated $2 billion a year due to inadequate cross-cultural knowledge among employees.
  • It also found that proficiency in a foreign language was a consideration in hiring decisions at 42 per cent of firms.
  • International schools provide valuable career networking opportunities.
