(5) Overall Experience
Being enrolled at Leonardo Da Vinci Academy during my formative years played a significant role in shaping the values that have carried me through high school, university, my career, and now into building a family of my own. The Montessori approach, combined with the Italian program, aligned closely with what was being reinforced at home, which made the learning experience feel cohesive and meaningful. The smaller class sizes and the dedication of the staff stood out the most. Teachers were genuinely invested in each student’s development, which helped build not just academic skills, but also character, confidence, and strong personal values. The Da Vincian principles we learned continue to influence how I think and approach life today. One of the most valuable aspects of my experience was the ability to learn Italian and stay connected to my cultural roots—something I still appreciate and use. At the time, the smaller classrooms may have felt like a limitation. However, looking back, they contributed to a more personalized learning environment and helped create a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where students received more individual attention. Overall, I do feel the school prepared me well for the next stages of life, both academically and personally. A prospective student can expect a supportive environment, committed and knowledgeable teachers, and a well-rounded education that emphasizes both personal growth and academics.
Looking Back
The close-knit environment, dedicated teachers, and Montessori approach stand out most. I remember the strong sense of community, personalized attention, and learning Italian, which helped me stay connected to my cultural roots.
Current Perspective
Now, I better appreciate the value of the small class sizes and personalized attention, which I may have overlooked as a student. What once felt limiting actually fostered stronger relationships, deeper learning, and a supportive, family-like environment.
Your Advice
Take full advantage of the close relationships with teachers and the personalized learning environment—it’s easy to overlook as a student, but it’s one of the school’s biggest strengths and benefits long-term growth.

Many of the students came from families who placed a strong emphasis on education, discipline, and personal development—values that aligned closely with what my parents prioritized at home. This created a like-minded peer environment and played a meaningful role in shaping my friendships and the people I continue to surround myself with today.
